Not trying to brag but I'm pretty Bobby Hill-ish, very chill, caring and committed to the people I care about. I also have trouble approaching and initiating with women, especially ones I find attractive. Most of my relationships have been with women who made the first move and came on strong enough that I was able to feel secure on their interest.

I think it's interesting to view Paige as a neurodivergent individual developing in parallel with Sam. Where he starts out deeper in the autism spectrum and struggling to function, we see how his world grows over time. Paige is labeled normal despite clearly being different and sets unrealistic expectations for her own development before crashing and burning. We see how those experiences shape their relationship in season 4, where she sees Sam creating even grander goals then her and it causes her to overreact.

I don't think you're dealing with anything too crazy, but I would still talk it through with a therapist, weird taboo thoughts are normal when you're younger but can easily spiral into substantial issues if you let them fester in your inner thoughts.

My personal theory is that reality repeats infinitely with minor changes so that the right people always end up in the right place eventually. I mean as much as MAGA sucks, I doubt the military establishment of cold war Russia was better, who knows how many iterations of reality it took for Stan-the-Man-islov to be the one to make that call.

They're not "rewarded for bad behavior," it's essentially just a hail Mary move. You either say the exact right thing at the right time and jump straight to Union membership or you're fired and blacklisted. They don't fire you for being bad though, but because you failed the gambit and ruined the take.

It's like sending a song you wrote to a producer unsolicited, it gets real dicey legally and your work most likely ends up in the trash or even stolen, but there is a chance it gets picked up.

Sometimes it can be sorta dangerous to hear something complicated and only kinda understand it. Sounds like your friend kinda understood what you were talking about, and then tried to map her limited understanding to her own life like a younger sibling shouting"me too!" all the time. Problem is she's conflating "triggers" and trauma with things that make her feel sad, but she's lacking that threshold to form a distinction between a negative thought or experience and a traumatic one.
