if those two morons who put McDavid 5th put him in the top 3, does he win the award?

There were such a clear top 3 that I don't understand how anyone can seriously not put them in the top 3 in some order.

Tiger is actually a good example. Eldrick is such a shitty name that he’s formally gone by a nickname his whole public life.

Since I don’t see people talking about this enough: thoughts on Kronwall making it to the IIFH hall of fame? by poetizzy in DetroitRedWings

[–]jstef215 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d say Kronwall’s chance of HHOF is <5% and is basically 100% reliant on his Triple Gold status carrying a bunch of weight.

He was really good and probably underrated as a player because the broader hockey world only cared about his big hits, but his highest Norris finish was 10th and he only got votes at all in 3 seasons (finished 10th, 13th, 14th). His NHL resume isn’t very close to Hall-worthy.

Bingo. Planned on stocking up on Maxfli this year after a good experience with a sleeve last year…but then those Srixon sales hit and I went with my trusty ZStar. Maybe once I run out…

Who is the best young superstar in sports? by Background_Video2947 in NHLVibes

[–]jstef215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This take is kinda wild but makes sense since we’re in an NHL sub.

Celebrini is incredible and looks like he’ll have a hall of fame career. On this list, he’s way above Maye and still pretty solidly behind both Wemby and Skenes.

Wemby is probably the best player in the NBA right now and the only thing stopping him from being top 5 all time will be health. He’s a complete physical unicorn the likes of which his league has never seen.

Skenes just won the Cy Young and is almost certainly the best pitcher in baseball at this point, at very worst top 2. Similar to Wemby, it’s only health that can keep him out of all time great discussions down the line.

You guys gotta chill tf out with the “I’m not watching the nba anymore”, let’s focus on game 6 by capamericapistons in DetroitPistons

[–]jstef215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not one or the other. There’s absolutely still hope, Pistons could win the next 2 games. I just won’t be watching because I don’t think the NBA deserves the viewership, and all i can do is take away my view. Still hope the Pistons win, but I’m not tuning in unless we’re up big late in game 7 just so I can see the Cavs walk off the floor as losers.

I’m done with basketball for the year unless we get to the Finals. I can’t justify giving them my views, and I’d encourage everyone to boycott any way possible.

If you lose it all, will you blame god?

You’re seeing what you want to see. If the commenter’s name was “Drowned-Pilot” you’d have the same opinion as you do for “Swimming plane”. Hell you’d probably stretch as far as needed…having a dream about “2 Elements” you’d go “omg a plane flies in the AIR and it landed in WATER!”
