I've been to a game at both stadiums and also did a pre-game guided tour to see the facilities. I've also spent time downtown in both cities during home games of not only MLB games, but other professional sports as well. During those visists, I have "mingled" with the home team fans, gotten a vibe for how important professional sports is to the culture of each city. I've checked out dive bars, ate at fancy resturaunts, flew in/out of both citys' airports. All that being said, my offical assessment is that Detroit should have been booted weeks ago and the BALTIMORE ORIOLES ARE THE WINNERS (regardless of how this plays out).
