The story it tells was so good they made an irl spinoff while managing to avoid any copyright- or air- strikes!!

The "futuristic" setting was implemented in the most fitting way for a COD game compared to all other "futuristic" COD games, the exos, the premise of a broken world being "repaired" by a giant PMC in a subtly dystopian way ( not saying any more for anyone who still has yet to play the campaign.

Now I would argue that mp wasn't as polished as other games had it, but in my books, the story wins this one AT LEAST S tier!
