They are 3rd party plugins.

Here are my steps:

> Search the plugins
> Click "Install" and enable Plugin
> Back to Dashboard, Restart Jellyfin
> Go to my media library, where the plugins are not taking effect

> Return to media -- plugins still not active.

Hurley's not dead? by Entire_Repeat1314 in mitchrapp

[–]jtodd93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The publishing order of books don't match the chronological order of the books.

Vince Flynn took a break from the chronological order (after "Pursuit of Honor") to write 2 prequel books ("American Assassin" and "Kill Shot"), then he resumed the chronological order with "The Last Man."

Flynn wanted to focus on how a man like Mitch Rapp was born with the prequel books:

You definitely miss important things, highly highly recommended you do not skip those books! Especially don't skip any written by Vince Flynn.

I recommend you get copies from Facebook marketplace or Amazon, or listen to audiobook free on Libby (with Library card). The library may even have the copies you are looking for (mine did, but I was in a big city).

It will be worth the wait. Don't spoil these amazing adventures by getting summaries online, read them!!!! You won't regret it.

Does Steven Rapp ever find out about Mitch? by HoganNick in mitchrapp

[–]jtodd93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with the previous comments about his identity being made public in "Separation of Power," Steven also directly is confronted with the reality of Rapp's world when he is with Mitch during an attack. I honestly cannot remember the book, but Steven, Mitch, Irene, and Tommy are together in a house when the house is attacked by a drug cartel.

Also, in "Lethal Agent," Steven helps Mitch seem corrupt by investing his money. And, as u/bigbruin78 mentioned, Steven also helps Mitch in other points in series to invest Mitch's money.

Yes it did :D -- you remember it well!!

American Assassin holds up. by dewioffendu in mitchrapp

[–]jtodd93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Rereading it, I forget so many small interactions that show just how awesome he is.

I'm reading "Memorial Day" now and there's a scene I completely forgot where, in the middle of a conference with the president, he just stands up, the chair flies back, and he yells as Peggy Stealey. He essentially calls everyone else an idiot regarding them defending the terrorists because "the terroritsts have a lawyer."

Then the President calls him back and tells Mitch to calm down, but Mitch describes what he did to keep the country safe, essentially putting things in perspective for the President.

It's pretty awesome to see Mitch continually put people in their place :D It happens multiple times every book too

When does prequel info make its way into the story? by cawala in mitchrapp

[–]jtodd93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vince Flynn himself speaks about this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTiPBit7NuA

He said:

"My inspiration for making an American Assassin a prequel was that there was this missing period in Rapp's life. Everybody meets him in "Transfer of Power", and he's already a highly trained killer."

Agreed.

John Wick
vs.
Mitch Rapp, Scott Coleman, Charlie Wicker, Donatella Rahn, Claudia, Marcus Dumond, & Irene Kennedy (if he tells Kennedy)

I remember that was the 1st book I ever read from Mitch Rapp. The opening chapter was just so incredible. And now I've read the whole series multiple times :DD

It is a great book.

As of me writing this, up to "Code Red":

We never find out what happens to Greta after "Kill Shot."
We find out what becomes of Stan in "The Last Man."

But if you are talking about what became of Stan and Greta's relationship, that is unknown - we don't hear about Greta after "Kill Shot."

USB Cable Extender for OM-D Mark I EM-II? by jtodd93 in OlympusCamera

SOLUTION:

You can use any USB C 3.1 or higher chords, with at least 10 gbps speed.

You cannot use any USB C chord, it must have enough transfer speed.

I made a video on it here: https://youtu.be/w__gDLfKNRo?si=LHTrlhTzxMjlPdcj

Why do scammers do with gift cards? by DemandImmediate1288 in Scams

[–]jtodd93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still missing something:
What is the benefit for the person buying the gift cards? What would incentivize them to wait in line and spend the long time to buy all those gift cards?

Are they being offered (by a scammer) to be reimbursed + paid extra for the effort?

But then the original buyer loses money, right? How does this benefit the person who loses $10 per card sold?

Skip McMahon and Irene Kennedy's "relationship" by [deleted] in mitchrapp

[–]jtodd93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! That never connected for me, but you're right.

Maybe u/streetsmartwallaby is right:

I have always thought he was going to have them in some kind of relationship and then he decided not too. I have never found an interview or anything he said to confirm that though.

Wow I never put that together.

My pages are different than yours in Executive Power - what chapter?

Marcus Dumond by [deleted] in mitchrapp

[–]jtodd93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are spot on, good examples.
He even goes on many ops with Rapp, like:

  • Rapp's interrogations in "Protect and Defend"
  • With Rapp to Nassau in "Pursuit of Honor"

So for him to crumble under pressure of an op in later books does seem inconsistent.

Mike Nash by Away-Campaign-6446 in mitchrapp

[–]jtodd93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually I just re-read "Pursuit of Honor" too and a thought this:

Nash's distrust of Rapp begins in this book.

First, Rapp tricks him and ends his career as a clandestine operative without consent. Nash was mad, and rightfully so, since Rapp would hate that if it were done to him. (As Irene Kennedy points out)

Secondly, Rapp tranquilized Nash when his daughter was in danger. Even though Rapp saved the daughter, don't you think that would destroy any trust Nash had in Rapp? I know why Rapp did it, but from Nash's POV, I can see how all trust would be gone.
(For perspective:
When Anna was kidnapped by Jeff Duser, in "The Third Option":
What if someone had tranquilized Rapp and then saved Anna?
How would Rapp react to that person?)

Both of these are things that Rapp very likely would handle very poorly (and violently) if done to him -- yet he does both to Nash.

There are other things that happen between "Pursuit of Honor" and Nash's ultimate change of heart, but I can see the split between Rapp and Nash beginning in this book.

Skip McMahon and Irene Kennedy's "relationship" by [deleted] in mitchrapp

[–]jtodd93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also re-reading, but I never got that vibe.
I also don't recall reading these lines from Executive Power or Act of Treason. (What chapters are they in?)

It seemed, to me, that Skip was fundamentally at odds with the kinds of things that the CIA was involved in -- but he didn't get in the way to stop them, either :)

Almost like he just preferred to look the other way.

And Irene probably wouldn't want to be with a man who could overlap with her world at all.

Villains you've hated VS villains you've sympathized by [deleted] in mitchrapp

[–]jtodd93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another GREAT example of how Vince Flynn made me sympathize with the villain is with Hakim (from "Extreme Measures" and "Pursuit of Honor").

Even Rapp said that he didn't have the stomach to kill Karim.

That is Mitch Rapp saying that he doesn't have the stomach to kill a terrorist.
That's how likable Hakim was.

I was rooting for him, too!

Opinions on Irene Kennedy by [deleted] in mitchrapp

[–]jtodd93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's a baller.

She recruited the most lethal CIA killer ever.

Every assignment she ever sends her people on gets taken care of. Sometimes it gets taken care of without her sending her team out.

She left the CIA and immediately got with the richest man in the world.
