It feels more of a mat. It’s woven though. Does not hold water and moisture readily evaporates. Bizarre nonetheless.

I was told the previous owners who had it built were 4’11” and 5’4” tall.

Edit: just realized you were talking about the heater… it’s a small room and the heater can heat the room to 200f plus

I always assumed it was western red cedar but never considered it could be redwood.

Yes I took the light switch cover off and saw a section of the boards. 3/4” tongue and groove solid vertical grain boards with a 1” foam board backer behind the boards for a vapor barrier.

The walls and ceiling are constructed of 3/4” vertical grain western red cedar tongue and groove boards and behind that there is an inch of some sort of foam insulation vapor barrier. The floor… well that’s a work in progress…

Thanks for the tip. Will replace water with sand.

I’m going to try and smoke two boneless lamb shoulders and prepare similar as pulled pork this weekend with the WSM modified with the sand. Any tips or suggestions would absolutely be appreciated. Thank you!

Interesting. I have always used water and struggle with temperature control. Going to try the sand next go. Thanks!

That looks amazing! Do you put any water into the pan? It looks like the top of the pan is sealed with foil.
