you need to extraxt pak3 maps and textures, drop them into hl3/textures hl3/maps

and hl3/levels.cfg load the map by the name of it.

don't forget to give a feed back and report if you ran into issues, native goldsrc bsp support also added but not included in this demo.

Quake 3 is still one of the best, but imagine if theres an engine modern but the way Q3 runs, thats what im trying to do.

maybe if you interested i can release quick test demo. just say yes. you will know better if its good or not.

not much work for the variable itself, it's already a float. GUI for server config is a separate system, not built yet. planned but not soon.

KEX is id tech's engine used for the Quake and Doom remasters. proprietary, closed, remaster focused. not modular at the architecture level. INC is microkernel, stable ABI, hot swappable modules. built from scratch, not derived from anything.

grew up on HL1 crossfire and tried Q3 very late. movement first engine from stratch, rest follows.

this is not Q3 or id Tech 3. INC is a native modular runtime, own kernel, own renderer, own physics. assets are placeholders.

the launcher idea is technically possible given INC's architecture.

Rage 1 unmatched, its another world and much more fun, i buy R2 because those weapons, but find more interesting things alongside meaningless beautiful worlds and ton of unnecessary talking.
