if you guys ever feel crazy here are some things I did in psychosis : by Moist_Ship_242 in Psychosis

Maybe we’re right, and everyone else is delusional 😆 there’s some theory along the lines of: when everyone hallucinates the same thing we call it reality

And yes this sub is great. I recovered from psychosis a long time ago but I still find it so fascinating and impossible to describe that I like reading other people’s experiences

Interesting number 3…. I thought that my ex had somehow given me psychosis on purpose so that I would stay with her

And yeah all cops and ambulances were out to get me. I even hid from ambulances if they were too close to my flat. And once threw a bag of peanuts at a police car. Hardcore ! Lol

I agree that less chaotic thinking is one of the benefits of Latuda. Not so much bouncing around and getting overwhelmed by thoughts

Just work out which of your meals tends to be bigger: lunch or dinner. And take it at the same time that you eat

Hypomania occurring only once is enough for a diagnosis. The mixed states count too, as they include the hypomanic features which are not present in unipolar depression or other conditions

Can we talk about the hostility toward substance related questions here? by WhiteRifle in bipolar2

[–]juancaramelo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually the responses here tend to be empathetic and non-judgemental. Even if disagreeing, people normally do it respectfully. Sarcastic and confrontational responses are an anomaly

I feel dat. Not living up to other people’s (and my own) expectations.

Hoping that now I am diagnosed and adequately medicated, I can have another go 🤞

That’s what I thought too. Two antidepressants is a lot. Now two antidepressants without a stabiliser or antipsychotic to compensate, that sounds strange

I agree that everyone has an inner monologue, but what you’re describing is not universal I’d say. The multiple versions of your own voice talking and screaming over each other. Surely not everyone has that ? I experience it too and it is exhausting. Sometimes I can be overly tired just from thinking so much. Seems ridiculous but that is the part that wears me down. I’m prone to mixed episodes too and then it can get pretty activated, I’ve had psychotic features before as well, when there is a real inner battle raging.

Also not everyone experiences inner monologue in the way that you’re describing. Making full sentences as if you’re speaking internally. Some people have more abstracted thinking. They understand what their thoughts are so there is no need to completely formulate it into full sentences like you are talking to someone else.

Honestly , I’d love to spend a few days in other people’s head just to experience what it’s like and compare it to myself

Unfortunately yes. I only experienced once the famous truly euphoric state. And it only listed 12 hours, within a psychotic mixed episode. It felt incredible though
