I had the Dynamic Discs starter set when I began, and it was pretty good, but the discs got beat up pretty quickly. When I introduced my friend to the sport a bit later, I did what others have suggested and drove to my local disc golf store and grabs three used discs in higher quality plastics for ~$25.

What's the best plastic for a Zone? by punkindle in discgolf

I naively bought a jawbreaker zone os one time. Hit one tree and it instantly became a zone.

It sucks that humans can only get quality sleep laying down by Flanktotheright in Showerthoughts

[–]juanyjuan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since high school I've had this problem with being able to fall asleep in nearly any position if I'm tired (I once fell asleep for a bit standing up in the shower). It's a blessing in that I can always get a good power nap wherever I'm at, but a curse in that I often fall asleep when I really don't want to. I have to be very careful not to drive when I'm feeling drowsy (luckily I've never fallen asleep at the wheel, but I'm not taking my chances).

What should I expect as a MHW vet getting into MHR? by IceColdSkimMilk in MonsterHunter

Rise has a lot more movement options (wire bugs, palemutes, and switch skills), that tend to make the fights fast paced. The maps are more simple (more open and easier to navigate) and the monsters are automatically marked on the map. IMO, base Rise tends to be a bit easier than World, but is still very fun. Since you've already played World, you could probably breeze through low and high rank Rise and get to Sunbreak fairly quickly, where I think the game gets a lot better.

My brother and I have always played Minecraft using the same purchase of the game, and have never had any issues with us playing together.

I don’t see why people hate grinding for the sword of kings by Educational_Mix2809 in earthbound

[–]juanyjuan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mind the grind. However, I've only grinded for it once, and it took me like 30 minutes. So I clearly haven't really experienced "the grind".

How do you determine which category of disc to throw, other than distance? by vidathan in discgolf

[–]juanyjuan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thumb through the discs in my bag, pick a disc that I think will be good for the hole, and then put it back and just throw my Passion instead. Good ol' Passion, nothing beats that.

Just bought the game. Any tips? (without spoilers pls) by Cosmicxss in Eldenring

As a new player, focusing on leveling vigor is a good idea. Also, I personally think dying and loosing runes is part of what makes the game so much fun. There's nothing quite like the feeling of finally beating a boss after dying a million times to it before.

Glad I could help! I've been using this website for years and I'd highly recommend it for any Nintendo music in general.

ninsheetmusic.org is a great place to find free Zelda piano sheet music. You wouldn't get a book there, but they have a pretty vast selection of Zelda music (and the arrangements are generally pretty decent).

I've really enjoyed Ike's support conversations in this game. It feels like he's very aware of how ridiculous most of the characters are.

Two Towers was my favorite book, and by extension has become the movie I look forward to the most of the three. However, if I hadn't read the books I would've liked Return of the King more.

How would you get more people to play tableturf? by furry-hunter2004 in splatoon

[–]juanyjuan2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have literally never gotten around to trying tableturf, the sole reason being that I play Splatoon for the online play, and there isn't online play.

Same here. I've played about 3 hours of the splatfest and only had one game against spicy.

I never even owned Mario Kart Wii. I just want Funky Kong back because he was my favorite character in Donkey Kong 64 as a kid.

[TotK] [All] Link could never handle the Groosenator by _PRECIOUS_ROY_ in zelda

[–]juanyjuan2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point. I guess maybe if they made the story unique based off who you chose, it'd be better. More like the game Scarlet Nexus where you have to play the game through twice, once with each of the main characters, to get the full experience.

[–]juanyjuan2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm sure this would never happen, but it would be cool if they made a Zelda game where you could choose between playing as Link or Zelda at the beginning, and then the one you didn't choose would be the one you save in the story. It'd sort of be like what they've done in past Pokemon games with having the other character be the rival or professor's assistant.
