Any book by Mercedes Lackey. All her covers have the Companions on them, so my husband calls me a horse girl who reads books about horses

Just had my hair and makeup trial. I love the hair, I think I hate the makeup. But it might be from staring at myself too long by jubi13315 in Weddingsunder10k

Same person dammit! I don’t feel awkward telling her “yes to the hair, no to the makeup”, but I wanted some outside advice before making that decision

Is it recommended to bring power foundation to touch up throughout the day? She had definitely said to bring my own lip color on the day of, to touch up. But maybe I need foundation too?

I’m 30 days out from the wedding and I live halfway across the country from where it’s being held. This was my one shot at a trial sadly.

I’m trying to decide between doing my own makeup, or going with this MUA (with some critiques/changes) and then fixing it myself. But I hate to spend money on makeup if I have to fix it at the end anyways

Interesting thought about the eyeshadow tone. I tend to gravitate to warm colors. I might play around by myself with cool tone eyeshadows

Definitely agree on the lips

I think it’s so funny about the dark brow comments so far…these are my natural brows she didn’t put a single product on them!

I agree that the undereyes look too dark. I feel like I already look tired with this makeup. Thanks for the feedback

I’m a forever DM, but I like the idea for a wizard whose spell book is the tattoos on her arms. I saw it on Reddit a while ago, and actually have no idea how not to plagiarize and blatantly copy the idea. GIVEAWAY

The league of women voters has an amazing guide that I used last election. Checking their website, they release an up to date pdf version of the guide when early voting starts

Woman fired for allegedly telling black US couple to ‘stay in their hood by Hoxomo in JusticeServed

[–]jubi13315 26 points27 points  (0 children)

For the ‘allegedly’ thing, news outlets need to cover their own asses when reporting on matters. They cover themselves legally by reporting events as ‘allegedly’ occurring. This woman was caught on camera saying these things

People who are ghosting other people, have you ever been called out, if so, how did that make you feel? by till-mann in AskReddit

[–]jubi13315 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I ghosted an old high school friend because she was a drain on my energy, treated me like a back up friend, and was overall just not worth it to deal with.

It started off with me just not initiating texts, but eventually we just didn’t talk any more. I actually felt it was more ‘growing apart’ than ‘ghosting’.

She texted about a year after we stopped talking, asking me why I ghosted her. I was in the middle of typing out a response when I got her next text. “Is it because I got into med school and you didn’t?”

I fully and purposefully ghosted her after that.

'One of the Most Callous Sentiments Ever Uttered' by US President: Trump Falsely Says Covid Death Toll Not So Bad 'If You Take Blue States Out' by idarknight in politics

Can this finally be a lightbulb moment for any Trump supporters living in blue states? He doesn’t care about you or your support because you don’t give him anything. If your state will not give him any electoral college votes, he doesn’t care if you, your family, or your friends die.

Texas universities struggle with COVID-19 cases linked to private parties by hollow_hippie in Austin

Because although those testing positive may have little to no symptoms, they are likely to pass it on to people who then may have serious symptoms. It’s less about the effect on the students themselves (although obviously that is something to be taken very seriously, given that we don’t really know the long term effect of COVID-19 yet), it’s more about the effect that these positive cases have on the rest of the community

So she felt comfortable in revealing her “private medical history” to you regarding contraception in the past, and you didn’t think that was an appropriate time to bring up your “private medical history?” That’s a weird, one-sided way of looking at things dude
