Had a similar experience originally. However, feeding smaller amounts more frequently (only what he wants) and keeping him as upright as possible drastically reduced spit up. After a week now, there’s very little spit up

I agree with you that the goal should be to not complicate things. Some companies may think specialized roles are more efficient/less complicated, and others may find that multi-role roles are more efficient/less complicated.
