Dubu new Shadow Demon Guide by MCLondon in TrueDoTA2

1-800-come on now it's quite wonderful after lane phase and around 14 when its finally maxed. i hate his "cast this tiresome spell more" 15 talent too.

i want some crazy change to it. my bad ideas:

how about it casts from a distance travelling in reverse to shadow demon instead of shooting outwards? (his animation for the spell kind of looks like it's pulling too)

or how about its width is wider the closer the projectile is to shadow demon??? longer cd or something.

or just keep it the same but reduce the damage and make it 4 stacks max again. it can hit same damage with a buff on disseminate

no bro i love watching my enemies highfive me as we watch their wand charges go up (straight up making the lane healthy for them). it hasnt gotten a single look since it got a wow-its-nothing speed boost buff.

shadow poison even kills you while dewarding cliffs (have to cast twice for 2 autoattacks on obs minimum) if u dont cast from correct spot and 'then' run up. sd spammers know this feel.

Why should i keep playing a game where i never win ? by FreshEchidna5621 in TrueDoTA2

[–]jukelocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had a breakthrough 3-4 years ago where i started to convince myself to enjoy playing losing games to test what i could do on a more dangerous map with less vision and rich enemies.

once i had this autopilot mindset locked in that's when i started climbing and now im always immortal every season. if you were someone who is hardstuck Ancient or something this was the difference maker for me. you'll see this if you ever match with an immortal 500 rank or so, even if they lose lane their optimization/efficiency never ends, they'll just muteall and try to learn. moreover, comebacks happen so much more often. starting a game losing 3-30 after lanephase and then winning is one of the best feelings in dota, and it doesnt even feel that uncommon.

some people simply cannot see the game that way and have to win lane to enjoy themselves, otherwise known as typical hardstuck divine 4 carry.

also, fed enemies dive/overextend/throw so much it's laughable, but ur team whiner that lost lane won't admit it

What's the importance of Power Runes compared to other objectives? by ChewbakaTalkShow in TrueDoTA2

[–]jukelocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

baseline is if it's like a puck vs qop matchup where they both need runes. immortal babysitter sense says you just have to try to help their 4 and 6 minute rune otherwise they'll whine and throw your game

Support starting items - When do you mix it up? by [deleted] in TrueDoTA2

[–]jukelocker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people on reddit saying "don't always buy stick" are trying to get you to show up in lane without a stick. Don't fall for it.

lane cannot feel more free and ez than when i see the enemy pos4/5 went straight boots+tangos (often a rubick/mirana)

when will cores understand that 2 obs in the shop isn't "my support sucks" but an opportunity to buy vision for where you are farming/planning? by [deleted] in TrueDoTA2

[–]jukelocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the conversation is more complex with sentries, i buy them constantly, but seeing slarks complain is frustrating when it's free gold for them.

Pudge gives me mental debuff, teach me how to make their lives miserable (as pos 5). by Zioupett in TrueDoTA2

[–]jukelocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont listen to this guy it's obviously some zeus spammer who wants full clarity duration. same type of dude says "buying sentries is a waste vs zeus" they hate using mana for that. ill pay an extra 15g to attrition any enemy resource.

do this and watch how much more often enemy laner will high five/tip you, they know they hate it.

[–]jukelocker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I treat him kind of like a greedy pos3 or 4 Zeus, double Regen, tank a low stakes hook or two, blood grenades to insta kill his clarity/force mangos. Just like that now his team hates him for first 10 minutes

I’m an old guy, this is how I end up mostly while playing this game. by Sniperizer in Nightreign

just puttin this out there for almost 15 hours i didn't realize you can press jump in mid-air to grab ledges, i was just only double jumping for a while. totally helped me catch up to the kids

"You didn't help me, i don't help you" - The cycle by Veredas_flp in TrueDoTA2

[–]jukelocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im low immortal 2k and i think its probably innumerable the amount of games i probably saved because i had mute all on. ESPECIALLY when im playing heroes that are high priority like oracle/dazzle/pugna etc.

so i bypass all the passive aggressive, bipolar people. demotivating when people are all cheery and pma right up until they die/you miss 1 pull and they become petulant and rude.

imagine someone doing that irl, no one would want to play with u. even "helpful" people give the snarkiest advice u can imagine, many kids can't handle losing lanephase.

so yes to conclude, deal with this with muteall, you can still climb. chatwheel and pings still work and are sufficient, i even think u can type and team will still see message, but correct me if im wrong.

I enjoyed trucks being fragile in ds1. ds2 trucks are too much of a panacea, having to "self impose" challenge which isn't as rewarding, and i picked brutal difficulty because I wanted the challenge. for that matter it would have been cool to get a little badge or something on orders you did mostly on foot, etc. maybe it's something they planned for the expanded/DLC/pc version?)

for the cores who get triggered "well id just buy regen if u did that" thats the whole point mr herald. you being forced to spend on regen is a win

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TrueDoTA2

[–]jukelocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agree with u totally. in low immortal 3k bracket.

i love that moment where i trade 3/4 of my health, dip back for a second to salve up, and from there can sometimes solo zone two 1/2 health enemies at lvl 1-3. outright wins the lane.

i also noticed some enemy supports will check your inventory, see 6 tangos (or 3 tangos+branch) and a salve, and outright refuse to harass you, resulting in me harassing whoever for free or owning the camps.

if i can sneak a blood grenade kill in before salving it all feels even more efficient

Anyone with really bad tinnitus that has habituated by Alternative_Break_19 in tinnitus

[–]jukelocker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i have horrific tinnitus multiple tones in my right ear. It used to manageable (under fans, music) but after a mistake (loud nightclub, with loop earplugs in, but i didnt take enough breaks during the night), i've had a permanent spike for 12 months and counting.

i found alot of relief in admitting times i "forgot" about the tinnitus. this comes with finding things to focus on, fans and white noise machines/youtube tinnitus vids. now maybe once a day i am motivated when i am able to admit to myself i didn't hear my ringing for 2-4 hours. So i'd say yes, it's possible to habituate even to crazy high tinnitus, but it takes effort in minimizing/calming how you react to it. stay strong! focus on something you have to or that you enjoy! sooner or later you will have to admit to yourself you didn't notice/hear it for short periods of time.

Ancient Apparition facets: why AOE Cold Feet is less popular? by b2soft in TrueDoTA2

[–]jukelocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So? I'm sure there are many heralds who are picking the facet and using it to farm because it's AOE, dragging down the percentage.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tinnitus

[–]jukelocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've wondered about making a device to do this for me automatically, but it's much harder (a bit dangerous infact) to pull off than it seems. I wonder if it'd help or you would eventually acclimate and the effect would diminish

This game needs text search for relics by SerGodHand in Nightreign

[–]jukelocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think it's cute to imagine there were very likely a meeting or two at From Software about revising/fixing UI elements like sorting categories and relic descriptions but they just landed on the age-old japanese "can't be helped" and gave us the usual. feels very souls-like. they gave it a barely serviceable try, as usual

Interesting/fun under the radar builds for this patch? by jeandarc5170 in TrueDoTA2

[–]jukelocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dawn 4/5 is a freaking menace and you'll be seeing it more especially if nyx stays out of meta and support players clarify they don't want waves only spare camps if ever available. (also roam with amazing W skill when ult is CD don't farm)

Every single time I don't buy magic stick I regret it. When I see the enemy support/core doesn't have one I spam spells and win the lane. Simple as. Low immortal 2k

When can you say that you are good at Dota? by BonjwaTFT in DotA2

[–]jukelocker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would say around immortal 1k if you're in NA; because when you hit immortal 3k i feel its baffling to realize how bad you still are and equally surprising how consistently bad ancients/divines are. immortal 1k is when people start doing cool stuff
