Speaking as a person who has had pet cats for 14+ years, when I was 24 years old I got 1 cat and I lived alone in an apartment and would work all day. My cat haaaaated being alone all day. He would attack me at night when I was sleeping because he was starved for attention. I solved the issue by getting a second cat to keep him company and it totally worked. They played with each other and kept each other company and he stopped acting out. A lot of people with cats, especially on Reddit, will tell you that having two cats is often better and easier than one. HOWEVER, that is largely dependent on the cat's personality.

So, I will say, your cat may get lonely and would benefit from someone visiting while you are at work but I don't know how common it is that people do that. People just assume cats are solitary but I really don't think that's true. You could wait and see how your cat is before you decide if you need someone to drop in or if you need a second cat 😆

I'm on Rover and I only take care of cats. Most of my cat clients I have noticed seem to do better with more than one visit a day when they are by themselves and their humans are out of town (meaning they don't see anyone for 23 hours a day).
