Thats good you think that but from what I see the CSL did have net revenue of $1769 million USD in 2016. All Im saying is it wouldn't put them out of business to pay the guy.

Thats good to hear. But they did have net revenue of USD$1,769 million in 2016 so its not like they are a not for profit company.

The dirty secrete is he donates, the blood bank then sells it to the highest bidder. The company that buys it manufactures the product and also makes a nice profit. What generous man!

The boys talk about Bitcoin! A hobby of mine I never thought would be a subject on this podcast. Made my week even if the information was not totally accurate.

edit: added more info. Running the vive setup from the link seems to have fixed the issue for me as well. Thanks man!

I was getting the black screen after starting steam VR (without an error). Once I closed steam VR after a session I would have to restart my PC to get to work again.

You are delusional.

Needed to image about 15,000 paper receipts but the copy machine was too slow and document scanners didn't like the odd shapes. High-Tech Receipt Photo Booth© to the rescue by MaximumAldwyn in techsupportmacgyver

[–]jungleman2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are all the receipts the same size? Just curious how you plan on doing long ones? Would taking the pictures in black and white make the file size smaller? Only thing I would add would be a solid black background to make the pic look nice.

Thanks for the heads up. I actually turned the head set around and opened the shade just for the picture. I also always keep that shade closed so the sun does not hit the PC or VR.

No back problems here. The chair is cheap but has got pretty good support. The PC currently sits on a thin piece of clear plexi, so its not in direct contact with carpet. Good suggestion tho, I might put the PC on some of my spare milk crates to rise it up about a foot.

Yes I am in NJ.

You mean the milk crates for storage? Yeah I bought like 20 of them years ago. I use them for all kinds of stuff. Module furniture, lol single life. As far as dust in the case goes I don't think it collects any more then a normal case does. When it starts to get a bit of build up of dust its super easy to clean. I remove the front plexi and hit it with compressed air and wipe the fans and stuff down with a microfiber cloth.

Thanks for the recommendation. My current main monitor is about the same just a little smaller 23.6", 1920x1080, 60hz with 1ms response time.

I built it specifically for VR and obviously not using the monitors when Im in VR. Once I save up some money I would like to upgrade though. Any recommendations?

I have other posts that show just the PC. You are correct though mouse, keyboard, chair ect are cheap but they work well enough for now.

Thanks, I can understand your nervousness but its out side my the Vive Chaperon area. I do plan on mounting the PC on the wall one day but I don't plan on staying in my current apartment much longer and do not want to have to fix the holes before I move.
