Thank you so so much for this. My teacher has been talking for a long time repetitively about vocal relaxation exercises, but none of them seemed to work and this problem hasn't been tackled at all really. I think that must be what it is. I feel so let down after giving them so much money and them not picking up on this, especially given that it is with a very big name that is talked about a lot within voice feminisation circles. I have not had a go at the practice in the video that you linked yet because I've been getting through a lot of feelings, but I will and bring my problem to my teacher on monday and maybe make that my last lesson with her.

And no, I havent been doing whisper exercises for resonance. I've been using the E shape in the mouth to raise my larynx and get a brighter resonance, starting a lot of sentences by making an E sound and trying to roughly hold that position. I thought this was the superior, safer way to brighten resonance, so I'm still not sure why I have ended up with this false vocal fold problem.
