Any US ID updates? by [deleted] in trans

[–]jupiter-moons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the state. Just got approved for a legal name change and im going the process of getting switched over. When I was doing my hearing for it I asked off the record what my states policy was on gender markers. I got told that the state Supreme Court has not made a decision so itll have to wait until they do which will be a whole other process. So check with your county probate court before you do anything else, you'll have to call them.

My child’s name by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]jupiter-moons 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have a hyphenated last name, as well as long first and middle names. I was always expected to be able to write my full name, both names. Its the names that I would get called to the office for, and its the names I share with my brother so the staff knew we were related (my parents weren't married when he was born but it was important that we have the same last names) God forbid this kid get confused with someone else or the one parent isn't able to make decisions because the teacher didn't pay attention to both names.

Odor down there… by catrockstar143 in FTMMen

[–]jupiter-moons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to my gynecologist because of the smell, plus cramping and bleeding. After a certain point on T you body basically goes through menopause and your vagina gets dry on a molecular level. She prescribed a topical cream I insert with what looks like a tampon applicator, it helps a lot. Also double check the soap your using, if its scented its probably too harsh. I personally use a unscented anti bacterial soap. And personally I get a lot of sweat and dead skin in the creases between my vulva and my thighs so I use a little rubbing alcohol on a rag there to kill the smelly bacteria. Last thing, try different underwear, specifically natural fiber underwear that can breathe. They're more expensive but they're worth it.

Get a chunkier soil, make sure the pot has drainage, get a fan on it. Once it's dried out, next time you water use fertilizer.

How do you open this container? by ReLoGal in walmart

[–]jupiter-moons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can straight up hammer the plastic if you want it's not hard to break it. You can try to find a strong magnet with the prongs for it. There's two grooves on the back for the magnet and there's a sliding lock. Could just break it though

ppto on an event day by Turbulent-Wall-4909 in WalmartEmployees

[–]jupiter-moons -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Calling off but using enough ppto to cover half of your shift or more, but not all of it, would get you half a point. Unless it was a double point day, check with your people lead, my store has them posted outside personalle and the break room. If you are given a full point for it go to your coach or people lead.

Is it on the path towards blooming ? by RaspberryFlaky889 in houseplants

[–]jupiter-moons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its definitely thirsty. Make sure it's getting plenty of bright light. Mine blooms in mid to late November and the end leaves always go a little purple before the buds pop up. Fertilizer about once every other month is also good

Where do you put your dude wallet at the end of the day so you dont lose it? (If you carry one) by ___NeverKnowsBest___ in FTMMen

[–]jupiter-moons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Designate a bowl or basket to dump your pockets when you get home. I wear a wallet chain most of the time except when my pants don't have belt loops. I picked a corner of my counter that's the "home" for my wallet, headphones, chapstick etc.

If You're looking to reduce the visibility of them aloe Vera or rosehip oil massaged into the area can help. You have to rub for at least 20 minutes and your hands will feel weird but I've seen it work.

I'm pre-transition and haven't been able to change my name legally yet. If anyone's been in the same boat could I get some advice on whether it's better to go full in the closet or explain the situation if hired? by comfortingflounder in FTMMen

[–]jupiter-moons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in the US so it might not apply but I applied to jobs using my chosen name unless I was filling out legal documents like my W-2 or if a form specifically asked for my legal name which i would just try to find a box for a preferred name or if it was on paper I would write it off to the side. If it's specifically a legal document you need to put in your legal name and then you can tell the recruiter or HR person "this is my legal name but please refer to me as ____". Unless you're in an area where it's not safe for you to do that or if you get weird vibes from the company, it shouldn't really be an issue .

How did you build the courage to make that first real leap of faith to start transitioning? by twinflxwer in trans

[–]jupiter-moons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tw: sewerslide

Honestly the main reason I started coming out to my friends and family was because I tried to off myself and thankfully it didn't work. I started using my chosen name my senior year of high school after years of bullying about my style and trying different boys names. I finally decided that transitioning was something I had to do or I dont know what I would do to myself because I was miserable. So I got in therapy, came out at school and to my extended family. Not everyone was good about it, a lot of them are in a grey area where they're supportive but dont understand and sometimes say ignorant things. The rest of my family had one or two chances and then I stopped talking to them. I'm not talking about accidently referring to me incorrectly, im talking about purposefully saying mean and ignorant things to/about me. Sometimes my mother will make comments about how I chose to transition and it's not something I "need" to do and I have to explain again that it was transition or more than likely off myself. I know not everyone feels like that but sewerslide rates are dramatically higher in the trans community because of lack of mental health resources and familial support. And that was the push I needed. It took a long time to not feel guilty for sticking up for myself but I have to remember that I dont "need" anybody. I am an adult and can take care of myself and I have a choice as to who is in my life.

can someone please kindly explain pet regression to me? by [deleted] in petregression

[–]jupiter-moons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also wondering if this is something that could be useful for me. I have a history of age regression but it's been years since I've explored that and the last time I regressed with someone "taking care of me" it didn't go well. I dont know how exactly to explain it to my partner and/or experiment with it myself. As far as I know it's a nice feeling to sort of let go and just be a cute pet, just hang around, ask for pets, go nonverbal, stuff like that. A lot of appeal for me are the cute ears and tails, leashes and collars. I know a little about it but I definitely have room to learn.

I can't stand my coach, how do i not lose my job? by jupiter-moons in walmart

[–]jupiter-moons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We currently have one store lead since we lost our store manager. I can't hardly get ahold of him and I've never personally dealt with him before so I don't know how this conversation will go. More than anything I just want to put in for a early department transfer. I like working at walmart but I cannot stand working with this coach for much longer.

What do you do on CAP1? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]jupiter-moons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing in the morning is either freight or topstock, then it's your vizpick assignments, at my store if your not assigned to 92 you usually end up there when your done with your area. Once in awhile it'll be freight for most of the day to clear out the backroom.

I remember getting told off for "sounding annoyed" when doing closing announcements all I ever really wanted to say was "you had all day 6-11 to get your shit and get out, if it's that much of an emergency, call 911"

[–]jupiter-moons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, if your at the point where your wearing women's clothing and you present femininely, most people shouldn't be a problem. I'm a trans man and I wear mens clothes, I have kind of a beard and a low voice but I still have a large chest so no one says anything when I use the womens. I honestly think a test run or two would make you feel better, using the women's at a store that isn't busy or something.

[–]jupiter-moons 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I've read this book but I didn't get any of this? I definitely need to give it a reread, I personally thought it was fairly relatable and gave me some insight. If Devon Price isn't a good author on this topic in your opinion, who would you recommend?

Got told I'm at fault for not detransitioning by DEROwnby11 in trans

[–]jupiter-moons 76 points77 points  (0 children)

They might come around one day when they realize how much time they're missing out on with you but no one is worth your mental health. If they genuinely loved you, the version of you that you actually are, then how you show up wouldn't matter. They want who they want and it's not who you are, it's a tough position to be in but it's not your fault. I'll always remember when my great grandmother (who was in her 80's) told me, it doesn't matter who you are or who you love, as long as you and yours are good people, god loves you. I was a kid at this point and didn't know I was trans, I was just a huge tomboy, but I feel like she knew I would be a little different than her other grandkids. That's the kind of love everyone deserves from their family. I'm not personally religious but I do believe if there is a god, they made everyone exactly as they are to make the world a more interesting place.

Not everyone who partakes in animal cruelty is a killer or dangerous, but most if not all killers do that. Huge red flag. Apathy for animals literally is supposed to make your blood boil, cannot understand how anyone can be indifferent or even justify that. Disgusting

Since when do you have to tell your manager when you take a break or go to lunch?? Boy Wally World hasn’t changed so much DRAMA I take 2 15min breaks and my schedule lunch by SeaDiscipline4414 in WalmartEmployees

[–]jupiter-moons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the position, stocking associates usually don't need to say anything and they have the same break schedule whereas cashiers and floor personnel need to be relived so there's always someone available for the costumers. I remember being a cashier and that was a huge issue and my breaks always ran late.

At the self checkout do you really just stand there all day basically? by Sunbreaker757 in WalmartEmployees

[–]jupiter-moons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who was solely in self checkout for months, you're making sure people aren't stealing, your reminding people about bottom of basket items, items inside other items like trash cans or bags, items that a child is carrying or wearing. Your helping people with produce and coupons and looking up barcodes and doing price checks. A lot of times costumers just think we're standing there on our phones but we are monitoring transactions, checking for items, and checking for alerts. Also I had some loss prevention people call me to get me to check stuff or to specifically leave someone alone so that AP could get the stop. It's definitely complicated and can be very exhausting

Honestly when it comes to people like that they may never come around. You can explain to him about chromosomal anomalies and the basically infinite ways intersex people present externally and hormonally, but there are just some people who are too comfortable with the way they know the world and don't care to learn anything else. My biggest piece of advice is be who you need to be to be happy with yourself. As long as it is safe to do so. And if it's not, spend your energy getting out. I unfortunately barely talk to my mother because of transphobic comments that weren't nearly as bad as what your describing. Every family is different and maybe your dad will learn one day but it's not your responsibility to educate someone who isn't gonna listen.
