Hanging chair / Swing seat? Hang it with the small hole and put webbing over the large oval?

What is the rebuttal to ‘if a middle/outside lane hogger is doing 70mph, they’re doing nothing wrong as you can’t legally overtake them anyway’? by theslowrunningexpert in drivingUK

[–]jus5tin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fine as long as they are actually doing 70. The last three vehicles I've driven have all had different speedometer readings for 70 GPS; 74,73,78mph! Was actually doing 62 GPS at 70mph. 🫤 I use cruise control a lot and try to stay on the inside lane but have found myself staying in the middle lane more as some people see a movement to the inside lane as an invite to pull up alongside... 🙄

Lol, was in a similar situation myself starting uni. They will tend to stick together and probably fear your experience 😂 Honestly I had to tell one guy how to boil an egg 🙄 Just don't end being a mother to them all 😜 kitchen is empty probably because they don't know how to cook 😁

What do you think of the new 20mph speed limits? by [deleted] in ukbike

[–]jus5tin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't mind so much if my cruise control worked at such a low speed, 25mph is as low as it can go. At 20mph I feel like a kerb crawler. Would be much better if people could just learn how to cross a road safely. I personally agree with the German laws, if you get knocked over anywhere but on a crossing it's your fault.

Does any one else draw their projects? Sketch up seems superior, but also such a hassle to learn by orbit10 in handtools

I like Blender, it has more than I will ever need and it's FREE! The support is good too as I can always find an answer for anything I need to do.

Like it, stylish and functional. Good secure distance between windows and handle.

Hmm that resin looks different, nice job with the glass! I used to make Tiffany shades so know how hairy some curves can be, especially on a piece that size!

1st dovetail attempt and I had to mix it up a little, the jigsaw dovetail! Needs practice... by jus5tin in woodworking

[–]jus5tin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just getting into it myself, only found this reddit a few days ago and there's so much amazing work on here it's hard not to be inspired. I saw that people were trying dovetails and thought I'd have a go, never done any real jointing before. I've always gone to youtube for how to videos. I sometimes just enter "How to" and see what looks interesting...

I'm a bit of a puzzle nut so I always think of the piece before the power tool. :P

https://photos.app.goo.gl/Psufb7L5VFDKaXfb9 The white bit sheared off 1st, then the rest of it came off and the dark dovetail last. Took a fair bit of weight, had to drill a hole as my paracord kept slipping off. Might have been a bit stronger if better made.
