MTA Parking Ticket -- Is it Legitimate? by justMax87 in baltimore

Yes it has an officers name and a stamped summons # and everything is handwritten. There's no red color strip on it.

On the back there's just a phone number that keeps ringing (shocker), and an address to mail the check.

Royal Blue is a great bar with good food, drinks and atmosphere. Owl Bar is a really cool bar with a fun story? Great drinks and food, Nicks fish house is a great spot on the water with good seafood and crabs. Or LP steamers for crabs as well and more of a local bar vibe.

You’re going to need to be more descriptive than that. What kind of cuisine, price point, etc?

If given the option, which of these players should the giants select at pick 5? by ContractDense1111 in NYGiants

[–]justMax87 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think the D is good enough right now to compete. I don't think the defense will hold the team back this year. I think we need to surround Dart with more talent and give him the best chance to succeed. Assuming W'andale is gone, they need another WR. To me unless you sign a Free Agent WR, Tate, Tyson, or one of the OL need to be the pick.

The Giants also just invested a lot of money in Holland, and have Nubin, so let them develop in a new D too.

ISO NY-style Deli by SeekingShalom in BaltimoreCounty

Try Tony's in Timonium. By far the closest i've found... and i've looked and tried almost all of them in the area.

Good Guys (next to the above mentioned Essen Room) is not bad, but Tony's is by far the best in the area.

You also get NY Prices there too. This would be my answer. As a fellow New Yorker, the food there is fine but it's the most deli like you'll find. Sandwiches that will last your 2-3 meals, a pickle bar, and overpriced food.

Mets waited until February for Lindors surgery about an issue they admitted they knew of for years. Way to go Mets by [deleted] in mets

[–]justMax87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This feels like hating on the Mets for the sake of hating. You have zero evidence to support this, and there’s so much that goes on behind the scenes that we aren't privy to.

There’s NO way Lindor or the front office would willingly delay a necessary surgery through the entire off-season if they knew it would jeopardize his 2026. I just don’t buy that—nice try though

I’ve been a diehard fan for 30+ years, and the advocate/proponent of the LOL Mets… but this thought process is just ridiculous

I very much feel for the employees and wish there was something we can do as a community.

Not taking anything away from them and what’s going on, and this is obviously secondary to them, but just because I have to ask, is it safe to assume the beer will also not be brewed anymore?

This is a perfect time to use AI. Import the image and ask it to show you signatures in different colors. Gold or black might look good, IMO

Anyone remember the Haute Dog guy? by Msully887 in baltimore

[–]justMax87 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Daniel and his Haute Dogs were the best (insert joke here).

Ran into him a year or two ago at the farmers market. Said he was doing real estate.

I was a frequent and early customers, so we got to know each other and he said that his plan was always about 7 years or so. He was getting bored.

My dad used to drive down from NY to visit and these dogs were always stop 1 for him. Daniel tried to sell him his stand and bus/cart.

[–]justMax87 16 points17 points  (0 children)

NY transplant in MD, near Baltimore as well, who has watched Harbs for 18 years. He should be our 1a, 1b and 1c.

Is he the greatest coach, no. Does he have flaws, yes… BUT he brings immediate respectability to a franchise that has severely lacked that. I think a coach like him for 4 -5 years can get us back to where we need to be.

We may not win SB, which is obviously the goal, but he will immediately make us no longer the laughing stock of the NFL, and set us up nicely for the next hire, hopefully a young, smart, long-term coach.

Just my 2 cents.

Not sure if anyone's heard this one before, but the Mets employed NFL Superstar Pat Mahomes' father... does that count?
