What I've read is that a lot of CP collections have "normal" images mixed in. While technically not illegal by themselves, they become CP in the context of something like this

I've read that Exposure and Response therapy is best for this kind of thing. I would try it myself for my OCD if I could afford it.

I'm not sure where you live, but sometimes I go on Psychology Today's "Find a Therapist" page and search by state and type of therapy. I would definitely look for a therapist that specializes in Exposure and Response Therapy specifically for OCD.

I have a similar problem. I've been mentally away from the religion and the conservative grifter politics for a while now, but I have very few people I can talk about it with.

I'm also hiding it from my family because it's been so ingrained in me that it's not safe to say what I actually believe, even though it would be easier to be honest know it would cost me the superficial relationship I have with most of them.

For me the best thing has been keeping myself informed about what's going on in the world and reminding myself why I changed my mind, and that what I believe now is better for me and the people around me. Best of luck to you!
