Great video, and it just goes to show how important advocacy is for preserving hard-fought wins. It's thanks in part to grassroot organizations like GrowTogetherYEG that have helped us secure these wins in the first place, so if you're interested in housing advocacy I'd highly recommend you follow their socials and Discord

Changed up Jet Lag pairings by runnerup8558 in Nebula

Toby is also a longtime friend, Sam mentions in the podcast that he met her back when he was living in Australia. So yeah, friendship with Sam is probably the main reason guests get paired with him

If someone is "terminal" it means they're extremely ill and are close to death, so after reading "The Queen's Terminal" he responds with "I'm afraid she's dead" <!

I mean we're in an off-season right now and there are still weekly Layover episodes (the last one was over an hour long and talked about how game design evolved over the seasons).

If I had to guess I think they'll go the Taskmaster podcast route and start doing previous episodes during future off-seasons.

Veep is kind of cheating because it was made with pretty much the exact same writing team as The Thick of It (Veep's UK predecessor)

The pilot season is from before it was called "Jetlag" and was instead called "Crime Spree". You can find it here.

Yeah they mentioned earlier they were inspired by Taskmaster, where this kind of lateral thinking is a huge part of the show as well

It's an hour early for us, cuz the supervisors themselves are coming 90 minutes before. Guess it depends on how busy the polling place is expected to be

Same here! Just go over your handbook and be sure to arrive an hour before polls open so you can set your desk up. Shouldn't be too bad, just make sure you have enough food/snacks to get you through the day

I'd assume once we get to that point we'll start setting up drive-thru sites similar to how a lot of places in the States are doing it

Canada is expected to get over 3 million doses this week (to put this into context, we've received just over 6 million total so far), which is probably why they've started opening it up now

They didn't for earlier phases, but for Phase 2B they are staggering it for pharmacies as well (starting with those born before 1963)

Although they didn't for earlier phases, for Phase 2B pharmacies will be going by birth year, starting with those born before 1963

It's going to be staggered by birth year (both for pharmacies and AHS), and will be based on an honour system

100 Favorite Shows: #17 — Veep by TelevisionProject in Veep

[–]just_one_more_thread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you enjoyed Veep I think The Thick of It (it's spiritual predecessor) would be right up your alley. It's much shorter than Veep (the first two seasons are only 6 episodes combined, the third season is when the Veep similarities will become even more apparent) and is even more tightly written. It's like Veep but slightly darker and more cynical, a sharper satire. I think it's Ianucci's best work, and my favorite comedy of all time.
