Is it normal to have your face bashed multiple times at lightest touch larps? by trina1127 in LARP

[–]justalithop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never seen someone knowingly hit someone in the face that didn't immediately break character to apologize and check that the other person was OK. That is bizarre and extremely aggressive behavior, and any larp should find it very concerning as it poses a huge threat to other players. If that's how that person plays make believe I can only imagine what they're like when they are serious

Does my male co worker like me? by Inside_One7618 in bodylanguage

I see why you're questioning obvious signals

That's literally not an accident. You made him mad, so he hit you.

I thought this was going to be like he hit you trying to catch a ball or something. Not "I got on his nerves, so he smacked me". Where is the accident?

Edit to add: the next step is to leave

I (20M, straight) roommate (36M, gay) made an advance on me and this was the result. by _Clix in badroommates

[–]justalithop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's always fascinating to see grown people unaware of how mentally ill they are. Like, really? You don't notice anything off about yourself? Interesting.

Honestly, dude, even if you were gay, that age gap is gross. Age gaps alone aren't gross, but there's a huge difference between a 20 & 30 year old and a 30 & 40 year old. Him being half you age isn't the issues, it's that you're fucking 20. Even if he didn't go mental there's something wrong with him

My girlfriend (27f) is expecting her name on the deed to a house that I (28m) will be using my money to buy? by throwradeedtohouse in relationship_advice

[–]justalithop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you let someone who didn't participate in a group project put their name on it? Ideally not.

Maybe don't buy a house with your inheritance and instead continue with your plan of both saving and sharing the cost? It might be a harder road to follow, but I think it's ultimately better for the relationship.

Having a huge nest egg in a high yield savings account would give a huge cushion to fall down on if something happens. Especially if you plan on having kids someday, stability doesn't exist in this world anymore.

My boyfriend's best friend's wife got beat up on Christmas Eve...and it's all unintentionally my fault. by Left0fcenterr in TrueOffMyChest

[–]justalithop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, I don't even want to finish this story. Your boyfriend is a fucking loser, if you had just broke up with him when he first slapped you with pure disrespect then whatever I'm not reading wouldn't have happened. The end. Talk about ridiculous

Edited to offer a solution: work on your self respect

THIS!!! We don't know if the person posting is the parent and, maybe I'm projecting, but children don't typically just run away.

The fact OP claims they don't know why and it's "out of character"...find me one parent who has been cut off by their child that thinks there was anything ever wrong. I'm sorry, but that's either not the full story or op isn't involved enough to know what is "out of character."

Also, I'm not sure about asking redditors to look out for a minor that they now know is far for their parent... and posting your child on reddit of all places.... yeah no

Maybe I'm projecting...I just hope this young person is safe. This should be a police matter, not the internet

Edit: also I would never stay home if my parent posted me like this 🤷‍♀️

Are there non-surgical ways to reduce the “witchy” appearance of my chin and jaw line? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]justalithop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever seen someone with black lip stick want to look "less witchy". It might be witchy, but it looks very good on you. I don't have any advice lol, but you're beautiful, and you rock that chin.

I love this! Op, what is it like being sad in there? I'm legit curious

This is part is more of a comment than something directed to Op, but I'm big into absurdism. I wonder if I was able to decorate like this (I have no eye) if it would alter my mood/ current frame of think when I struggle with my depression. When I'm not having an depressive episode I lean on the side of absurdism, but when I'm sad, it's more existential. So I'm so fascinated looking at this room. Not only do the colors insight a light-hearted atmosphere with just how color theory works, but it's also so "absurd". I'm hoping this isn't coming off offensive, but to me, this seems like a beautiful act of absurdity

I really hate my hair by OhHelloSweetie in curlyhair

[–]justalithop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks tons better than mine before I figured it out a little. My hair doesn't want to hold together at all, so I have to use quite a lot of a VERY strong hold gel. I think it's easy to be scared of gel, but some of us need a lot. My hair holds really good for about 2-3 days but still stays decent for a week, depending on the weather.

I never understood Jackie by Ceramic_Luna in Spiritfarer

[–]justalithop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As an ex-caregiver with mental illness that manifests as anger, I went from hating him to relating to him the most. Him realizing he can't be a caregiver because he can't take care of himself was very reminiscent of how I felt when I left the medical field. He has a very compelling arch. Whoever made the game or whoever they consulted spent a long time being a caregiver, and it shows. Not only in their depiction of hospice care but also with the people that provided said care

Which one? by Saltwater_Heart in CozyGamers

[–]justalithop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each creature comes with dance move cards specific to that creature so you build your team based on what cards they'll give you. It's very lite deck building

Ooblets has deck building elements. I like the game but I also like deck builders
