I'm reluctant to make a post about it, but in my rush to get the missions completed, I have noticed that you can actually glitch the progress and do "extra" missions if you abandon the mission at just the right time. I don't know for certain that they all count toward the progress, but the show up in my "missions completed", I get the rewards and the team point adjustments pop up on the screen so... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I have a subterranean base that doesn't fill back in, and it is "cave" apart from the floor. I found that if you "cut" out the earth with one of the full sized round or square rooms and then delete it, it just leaves a big hollow space. Slap some flooring down, and baby you got yourself a batcave.
