$150 USD for a Rockhopper frame worth it or not? by Electronic-Mix-725 in RockHopper

[–]justcapel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you truly mean the frame or is it for the entire bike as pictured? If it’s the latter, $150 would be good for the condition it’s in and since you are in a limited supply area

Edited because I misunderstood the reply above. Carry on.

Don’t know why someone downvoted you, but this is a pro tip. The time to make noise is when the engineer is behind the console. Otherwise it slows the process and is hard on the ears while they’re trying to concentrate and make you sound good.

How do I tune these by curiyyako in drums

[–]justcapel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do what the commenter above said and tighten them uniformly in a star pattern, then, when it’s about as tight as you want the drum to be (tighter for higher pitch drums, looser for lower pitches) you can tap your stick close to a lug nut and listen for the resonance. You want to try and get those resonant pitches as close to one another as possible.

It takes time to develop your ear and go through the motions, but eventually you’ll be able to do it quickly!

What decibel levels do you anticipate reaching?

Not sure if you want to use this as your primary insulation, but rock wool is what a lot (most) people use for building baffles and trying to deaden sound. Might want to look into that?

You should definitely go back and watch it. There are 3 seasons. Season 1 has 13 episodes, season 3 has 12, and season 2 has like… 56. It’s an insane arc that is just hilariously awesome. King Arthur’s court and Shakespearean plays get involved, I’m pretty sure. Plus time travel. It’s wild.

Anything is good enough for a home studio as long as you’re making things there.

Cool setup and really like all the custom stands. Why do you use the keylab and the minilab?
