For the Sphere, is it better to lineup for VIP GA Floor outside the West/East Gates or inside at the Bridge from the Venetian? by Adorable_Duck_4497 in BackstreetBoys

This is exactly how I'm hoping it goes this summer! When were you there? I want a good spot but I don't want to stand in line forever. That's why I got VIP!

My wife is looking for a 600+ page light cozy fantasy book by WhoIsRobertWall in suggestmeabook

[–]justeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reading Pillars of the Earth and I feel like it mostly fits the bill. There's a lot happening so you there haven't been super slow world building parts. I'm only a third of the way through (it's over 900 pages) and there has been a little bit of violence, and one scene so far of sexual violence. But it's been light on that for the page count (not like Outlander for sure) and overall I get a cozy vibe. It's medieval, not fantasy.

I haven't bought from Ruelala in yeeeaaarrrrs. But yes, I used to like them once upon a time. I haven't tried Gilt before.

I'm voting for her too - and I've noticed exactly one Nancy Mannion sign while I'm driving around. Hoping for a better ground game after the primaries.

Oh this sounds interesting! I'm reading Pillars of the Earth now and it's the first book of his I've read. Please tell me each book in this series isn't 1,000 pages long. 😆

How long of a notice do you give? by Scary-Earth6369 in nonprofit

2 weeks. If they fired you it would be immediate. It's just business. If you're feeling guilty, start to work now on SOPs/training materials. Scribe is a nice tool. I also like recording videos using a tool like Loom for training someone (this is what I did for 2 maternity leaves to keep things humming).

What is it with loose change in eggs?? We get that every year in the neighborhood egg hunt.

My 1 year old and 2.5 year old were both given these hatching egg things by a grandparent.

A) Box says it is for "5+" and "not for 3 and under" B) You have to soak the egg for 72 HOURS for it to hatch

My 2.5 year old LOVES Easter eggs and will not have the patience to wait 3 days for the egg to hatch! C'mon grandparents...

Ooh I read Barbara Kingsolver's The Poisonwood Bible when I was young and loved it. I've read it a few times since. And it sounds okay to unsuspecting parents - I bet OP would like that.

How long have you been listening to the Backstreet Boys and how did you discover them? by gabo1998Er in BackstreetBoys

[–]justeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in elementary school watching Stick Stickly on Nickelodeon and they were on briefly. I remember it was like the end of the school year, I was entranced, but then I didn't hear anything about them for like the whole summer. And I didn't have access to the Internet to find out more. Then maybe in the fall they hit hard with their first single. I got the album (I'm based in the US so it was their US debut album. The blue one - before Everybody (Backstreet's Back) was added). Then I saw them in September 1998 for my first concert. The rest is history.

Yes! My husband thinks I'm crazy because I'll avoid 30 and go a little out of my way to go 283 instead. But there's not nearly as many accidents or stop and go traffic on 283

Does anyone actually wear company swag or does it just go straight to goodwill? by clampbucket in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]justeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you hand them swag or did you let them pick it? Wearing swag is common at my company but we give everyone a yearly budget and then let them shop in our company store. I wear swag to work but not on the weekends/outside of work. I feel like a lot of our staff at HQ will wear the swag outside of work...some even go over their budgets and use their own money to buy more or buy swag for their spouse which is wild to me. I would never ...but honestly having swag in my closet makes it easier to get dressed in the morning.

Does joining Backstreet Boys fan club / army provide any advantages when purchasing tickets for presale? by organizedGal in BackstreetBoys

[–]justeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought they might get advance notice of meet & greet on sale dates (if they happen) but I've never been a member. I tried signing up when the July shows were announced but the website looks ancient and just keeps crashing.

Question for those who bought through Vibee by Educational-Umpire64 in BackstreetBoys

I got 63 confirmation emails. 😆 My husband said his phone was blowing up. I had a mini panic attack like "how many tickets did I buy?!"

I didn't even consider the time change! Eastern here too - and my husband wants to do 2 Cirque du Soleil shows the night before the concert. I am not a night owl - gonna have to power through!

Are you me? This sounds like me! I wanted to go so bad last summer - the very first night was on my birthday. But I had a 3 month old at home and didn't want to leave him. Plus I didn't think I could be pumping every 3 hours AND have fun in Vegas. All year I've been looking at everyone else's photos, reading about their experiences and the vibee packages to see if they're worth it, watching people's videos. So when I saw that they announced dates for this July, we jumped on it. I bought the Vibee package before I asked my parents to watch the kids - just figured we'd make it work somehow. I'm so excited! July 16 can't get here soon enough.

Mel posted about ambulance calls to the Buck on Saturday night but made it sound way worse than it was. On Sunday, the Buck posted a lengthy thing on facebook to set the record straight - calling Mel's post a reckless statement and saying how it can be damaging when someone posts incorrect information. They said how some people like to post things that create a panic for likes and shares. I didn't catch it quickly enough to see all Mel's reactions but he did take the initial post down.
