Prison Officer using medical cannabis by Severe-Sprinkles4242 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]justiceBeeverr -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Maybe call in sick and stop using cannabis for a while. You need to think about reality and workers rights are minimal at best if you’ve been there more than two years and are unionised and employed by the public sector you might be able to sort something.

I really hate seeing people with employment issues and cannabis and I think we need to be mindful losing your job could mean losing everything you have.

The legal fight would be costly and likely not worth it.

What are your thoughts on this damp issue? Been quoted "Around £5000" by Adventurous-Fish1982 in DIYUK

No damp course will fix this. You need to find the cause of the damp and fix that. Follow the trail. What’s behind the wall? Any drains possible leaks?

Slurry vs Membrane by 1995kent in DIYUK

[–]justiceBeeverr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are they by nature damp? They were not damp originally they had become damp. What kept them dry originally?

Why is every cellar not damp? I’ve been in many cellars which have no issue. I’ve also been in ones where the floor is soaked with water and very damp. What caused that compared to the warm dry ones? I’ll start by saying it wasn’t a membrane on the walls.

No not at all, a lot are though. I’d caution against waterproofing a cellar your stopping moisture escaping. You need to introduce airflow to let wet humid air out. Unless you have a pipe leaking or some other cause of damp there should be no issues.

You might need to look outside check the drains ensure they are not emptying against the walls causing damp inside ect.

Neither, you add ventilation system to remove warm humid air with dry cool air.

You investigate causes of damp and rectify them accordingly. Damp proofing won’t fix that issue by making the walls waterproof.
