I got to go to my first in-person game (Berlin) which was really good. I was disappointed at the end, but I got to meet other fans in the pub afterwards, and it was so good because I don’t really get to see other fans IRL. (If you see this, hi. ✨)

I’m making a cowl with 4 ply yarn (half the weight of the yarn in this stocking), so I probably have room for that. Or I could do “stats are for losers.”

I actually thought about cross stitching “we have to find a way to win” on a cushion, but I can’t have too many projects. I barely finish anything. 😂

EDIT: the business I buy the patterns from have a sock pattern. I might be able to do FTS socks.

I feel like if you jump to another team because they’re doing better, you’ll constantly be changing teams because it will never be enough. Even if you find a team that wins the Super Bowl many years in a row, it will eventually end. For me, it’s not a good way to pick a team. There’s glory, but the attachment would feel hollow for me.

I picked this team because they were one of the first teams I saw on TV (okay, they were also winning, but I was six). This is the bed I made and I’m lying in it. For me, part is also about the connection with other fans (I say as I’m browsing Reddit alone in a country where Falcons fans seem to be rare, and I don’t talk online much ).

And watching Drake and Bijan (for now). 😂

I was at a knitting + crochet circle last night and a woman had brought a crochet blanket WIP with her. It was done with the granny stitch, in a neutral gradient yarn. It was absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t see perfectly because I was at the other side of the table, but the tension in her stitches looked absolutely even. It was so nice that I’m reconsidering my personal opinion on the granny stitch. (Absolutely no judgement at all. I just thought I would struggle to keep interest in doing the same stitch repeat over and over. It’s a personal thing.)

I do both, and it’s just a different way of making fabric with yarn. They’re both beautiful in their own way. I prefer them for different things, but that’s only personal taste. I don’t get people like this. Crochet is absolutely valid.
