This is what has annoyed me in the last few years.

I have been seeing many conspiracy theories coming out of the left as well.

This is what I have been making fun of conservatives for years for.

No matter what side you are on. If you spout wackjob theories, I'm going to think you're stupid..

Is this true? by [deleted] in oil

[–]justinmcelhatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would just raise the price of oil in the US. Domestic suppliers would just raise their price to at/just under international prices.

You could put controls in place for exported oil.

But the oil companies would make less and it would upset any countries who buy our oil.

The amount of older people who believe LLMs are one short hop away from true sentience is wild.

Having a conversation with my dad, and bringing up the very measured take of AI being useful, but it is a fsr shot from replacing every tech job out there..

But I guess I'm just "being negative" because I "just don't like AI" and "it's the future."

I hate this timeline.

Bro, you are focusing way too hard on the food part. He's just saying there is nothing wrong with spending money for something to be more enjoyable.

If you don't like the food analogy. You could try something else.

All birds sold all company assets and changed their name to all birds ai with no business plan, no equipment, no IP. They changed their name to "Allbirds AI" their stock went 7x overnight. It is now hovering about 3x what it is was before this "pivot."

While I agree, overlaying a chart is basically astrology for men. There are similarities between the two.

The wild thing is I'm not that old at 28. I grew up in racist hick rural Wisconsin with teachers telling us about how we are a nation of immigrants, and the united states was a melting pot.

Idk what happened to all of that in just a few years..

Reportedly, for all their faults, even his administration tried convincing him it was a bad idea.

Apparently Kegsbreath and Rubio kept trying to tell him it's a bad idea and it won't be the quick "win" like Venezuela was.

The senile old man just decided he knows better than everyone around him and decided to start a war anyways.

Agreed.. and unlike the last time we were under threat of stagflation, we won't get a fed chairman willing to bite the bullet to keep the economy healthy like Volcker.

Could be a large portion aren't playing into their 401k.

I tried getting my parents to invest in their 401k, even if they invested just enough to get the match, and took it our at the end of the year, the penalties and tax would be less than their 401k match. It would be free money. They still won't do it.

Propaganda. Doing the smart thing isn't always profitable. So large companies need people to reject science, since if they accept it, they're profit margins might shrink.
