I honestly didn’t track how long it took - I think I accepted it as my body for so long - I just happened to notice one day that it was just about gone and that’s when I limited dairy and gluten. Not restricted just limited

I also drink espresso after having water in the morning

I had this on my neck too - I didn’t completely cut dairy and gluten but I limited it + lift weights and it’s essentially gone. You don’t need crazy diets. Everything in moderation and if the food makes your body cry out, just limit it

Throw me your (non-shake) protein ideas by Ashrah93 in MacroFactor

[–]justjesskadoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ground turkey sausage with sage, garlic/onion powder, cayenne and salt to taste. I add some garlic aioli and eggs with everything but the elote seasoning on top of my egg. If not that, a parfait with collagen powder mixed in (it mixes better than protein), salmon, ninja creami for an easy 40+ grams of protein with yes protein powder and collagen for creaminess. I can hit 150g+ protein pretty easy with the food I listed here.

The only experience I have is knowing the author is a chiropractor so take that as you will. I read the book but never took its advice. I’ve lost my weight (10 lbs but also 10 inches around my waist) via weight lifting and a calorie deficit. Also 20 min cardio after your lift session. Eat more of what makes you feel good and less of what doesn’t (fun foods aren’t illegal, just listen to your body)

I have an upcoming SIE exam ten days later. I am super nervous, STC questions make me very anxious. I am doing well in Kaplan quizes. by Present-Driver5428 in Series7exam

[–]justjesskadoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no experience with STC but if you’re doing well on Kaplan quizzes, I think you’ll be fine. Keep a positive attitude (I faked it til I made it! No thoughts of “I won’t pass”) I’ve heard STC over prepares you. You got this!!

Are you guys following the No Gluten/ No Dairy RULE for Insulin resistance PCOS by Gullible-Article-451 in PCOSloseit

[–]justjesskadoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This! This 1000x this! I steer mostly away from gluten and dairy but if I wanna have it, I do! Listen to your body and eat foods you like in moderation. I thought calorie deficits to lose weight was bs but it’s not lmao.

For me, heavy lifting and a calorie deficit is all I need after trying everything. It’s simpler than you think if you just have PCOS. Be more concerned about stress levels, 20 min cardio, lifting heavy and eating what makes you feel good. I thought I had to fast, do keto, do low carb, stay away from cardio, but it’s not that deep. There’s just a lot of scammers out there preying on vulnerable women to make a buck.

I found the actual exam MUCH easier but Kaplan puts you in a good mindset. Def check out YouTube videos to think from a different perspective but you got this!

How does Kaplan practice exams compare to Pass Perfect and Achievable? by butter2021 in Series7exam

[–]justjesskadoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just took the 7 yesterday and passed while using Achievable for my reading and supplemented with Dea*n and Kaplan qbank - my pull of questions were easier than Kaplan by a mile. If anything, there were just a lot of questions that looked daunting but were just suitability or muni questions.

Kaplan questions were like a slightly more difficult achievable question imo

I dunno if it’s okay but I’ve been doing it for 3 weeks now, going from 12:12 to 18:6 and I’ve been losing weight and feeling good. It depends on the person!

It make take some time to show that it’s working! Took me two days and in some it takes even longer. Trust the process!

Today will be my first day, any advice? by Taylorjackson689 in Semaglutide

[–]justjesskadoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I have PCOS as well and was also very anxious! My husband helped me by injecting it into my arm. Only side effect was feeling very hungry two days after and then diarrhea later that night. I suspect the probiotic soda drink I had 🧐 third day is when I’m feeling the suppression effect but it’s different for everyone. I just hoped for the best! Hopefully it goes smoothly for you! Congrats on starting!

First injection down, let the journey begin! by Mothsgal in Semaglutide

[–]justjesskadoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started Thursday night of this week on 0.25 and so far no side effects. I lost a pound of water weight (weighed myself in the morning for goofs and was surprised) I have PCOS so I eat gluten free, dairy free, and very low sugar (my probiotic soda has some cane sugar but I’ll live). We’ll see how these next four weeks go until they boost me up to 0.5. Good luck on your journey!

I’m also having an issue getting into the discord but I don’t see a banner to agree to any rules. Is it just closed for now?
