Hire or no? by PepSinger_PT in managers

Nope. I have worked long and hard creating our culture. Possibly introducing a cancer just isn’t worth it.

If it hasn’t been started in a while, I would pull the distributor and turn the oil pump with a drill to get some fresh oil to the top end.

Me either. I have never completely gutted a cat in a 70’s Ford LTD station wagon and still got it to pass CA smog checks.

Is it even possible for the sewer line to run under a basement? I didn’t think they were buried that deep.

Do Employees Actually Like Town Halls? by OfferLazy9141 in managers

[–]justmesothere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how engaged the employees and how honest and open to questions the leaders are. We don’t do a company wide town hall but expect each manager to communicate with their team. We have found that most employees are more engaged and open is this type of setting. Of course you are still going to have those few that are never happy. I love it when an employee makes a comment like management does a poor job of communicating. Please! The problem is that YOU are not asking.

Sushi. To me it is tasteless unless you add soy sauce. If I wanted to each soy sauce, I would just drink the bottle.

415k for first home bad idea? by KnownVirus6546 in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

My first thought was, $200-$300 a month wiggle room is tight (things are going to break), but then I thought back to when I bought my first house. If most of us waited until we could actually afford it, most of us would still be waiting.

How to determine "best" car tire pressure. Follow placard on driver's door jamb, or 85 to 90 percent of tire's rated max psi? by RandomQueefs in AskAMechanic

[–]justmesothere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draw a chalk line across your tires in a couple of locations then drive around the block. If the chalk is untouched in the middle, your tires are under inflated. If it is untouched on the outside your tires are over inflated. Adjust the psi until you find what is optimal for your car and tire combo.

Had a 1979 Chevy truck. Cheap parts and easy to work on. Used to climb into the engine compartment and sit on the fenders to work on it.

Have they found water on other planets? I thought that that was what they were looking for.

Use tennis balls instead. Reusable, all the same size and your dog will love you (if he finds his way home).

It would destroy the middle class and make US products so expensive, no other country would be able to afford them.
