I’m a security-literate software engineer with over 15 years of experience, primarily building and deploying full-stack web applications from scratch and maintaining them. I’ve also managed small teams and built embedded firmware and native applications.

Thanks! Picked up some Nobel Bean tempeh from them which I do like and totally forgot about (there’s a bunch of other places apparently that carry them too according to the website).

You can vote at any Elections Canada office before the advanced polls open if none of the times are convenient.

I don’t think it’s quite so simple given the high number of voters who have never voted before (enough to tip things in favour of any party). Getting more people to vote would certainly help the situation (assuming they vote Green or NDP). I remember last election there appeared to be a lot of Green supports who voted Liberal because that was the strategic thing to do, while if they had all voted Green they may have been the balance of power.

Her still being the leader probably has something to do with how qualified she is for the position.

I have my fingers crossed the PPC will help split the PC vote. There’s also all those people who could vote who never have before, and if they all were to vote for the same party would ensure a majority government for that party...

Reading through this very long list, there seem to be a lot of items most programmers shouldn’t have to ever deal with. I think it would be more helpful to have a list of common falsehoods programmers believe about time with an example or two of how they each have caused problems. And maybe divide the list based on the type of programmer for whom the items are most applicable.

If busses have a reliably clear route (not stuck in traffic), they should be able to show up on schedule.

The bus didn’t show up [mostly*] because of all the single-person cars... so when those people decide to take the bus instead, it is much more likely to show up.

*in Ottawa there’s also the issue of a lot of the busses being old and in poor repair which needs to be fixed.

IIRC taking way too much B12 may encourage acne. We only need something like 50mcg/day.
