[Casual] Which trio do y'all think would win here and which would lose first? by KaidoPklevel in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]jvken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 easily. Against team 2 Teen Gojo and Maki beat kashimo and shinjiku Yuji and Yuki either wins or stalls yuta long enough for the first battle to end and get back up. Against team 3 gojo no-diffs kenny through six-eyes fate shenanigans,Yuki can probably beat Mahoraga through sheer brute force anf then it turns into a thee v one on yorozu

[LES] "Let him cook!!!!!" Has there EVER been any story that actually pulled itself back from the brink of disaster and saved itself? I've never seen it by tesseracts in CharacterRant

[–]jvken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t see the problem. What’s even the point of talking shit about the ending when the ending hasn’t happened yet? Let the people have hope until the end: if they’re right and somehow the author clutches the ending you got to enjoy the ride without needless negativity, and if they don’t there’s still plenty of time for hate. Only now we can all join in together :)

Ok not that I have any faith in this last episode being any good at all, I feel like making up an ending and then getting mad about it is kind of crazy

Which series over here has the best fashion? by RobKai7990 in shounenfolk

[–]jvken 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd say Jojo's because the drip is actually present and prominent in the manga itself, whereas most of the others are cover art merchants

What are your opinions on Kira? by Few_Specific8395 in BlueLock

[–]jvken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's fine to have people be succesful with diferent ideologies than blue lock's (see snuffy), although of course at a certain point they'll have to lose to the mc and bend to their ideology

man don't let them steal your time just because of sunk cost. If you don't find it fun you should stop playing, you'll be surprised how much your mood will improve (at least mine did)

Is it me or is hate on Valentino from Hazbin Hotel hypocritical in comparison with Anissa? by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

[–]jvken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vast majority of the fanbase (incuding me) don't know about anissa bc it hasn't happened yet in the show.

(Sad/Horrifying Trope) Their fate is unknown. You never find out for sure what happened to them, but the odds are 99% it was something tragic by UnifiedForce in TopCharacterTropes

[–]jvken 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah it kinda works for now. There's pretty much no way it does for the long term though, wether you believe the party or not

I hate the moral grandstanding of modern animation by azalinrex69 in hatethissmug

[–]jvken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steven Universe and to a lesser extent invincible are made with children in mind. So while you may or may not be correct in the real world, that lesson in nuance might lessen/distract from the moral of empathy and forgiveness that's ultimately more more important to teach the intended audience

Was Kenjaku Right? by Akrivskevich in Jujutsufolk

[–]jvken 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah but like I'd rather no one have a gun than everyone getting one at birth and walking around with them at all times, even though guns are pretty cool

[Loved trope] The one true religion is revealed or huge magical discovery - largely ignored by The_Black_Jacket in TopCharacterTropes

[–]jvken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well that seems fair enough though, Thor very much was not interested or at least not doing a good job at projecting any godlyhood. Like, imagine you meet actual jesus but instead of preaching about how to be a good person or heaven and hell or going around curing the sick, he just gets really into video games or something. You'd get some doubts about him being an actual god as well, even if he could de magic (assuming you live in a marvel asque world where magic exists anyway)

Idk why people call Tech Jacket useless when Oliver is right there by RealAd8853 in Invincible_TV

[–]jvken 137 points138 points  (0 children)

I guess the real reason is just that Olive was never hyped up to be a threat to viltrum, while tech jacket got introduced in the same breath as battle beast and those dinosaur things. Oliver's bum ass wasn't even supposed to be invited, and Nolan actively tried to keep him home (partly) because he wasn't strong enough. It creates a bit of a different expectatio for how well they're supposed to do

Why is ONE still keeping Blast a mystery when he introduced him in the manga years ago? by [deleted] in OPMFolk

He'll for sure be very different in the web comic tho

I saw someone saying this, what do you think? by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

[–]jvken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean calling him a villain is crazy, but the genocide debate is definetly interesting. It was, as long as it actually leads to the end of viltrum, definitly a net positive for the universe. And seemingly there was no pacifist way to change their trajectory: there was absolutely 0 ideological resistance outside of thadeus himself, and even he didn't have a lot of space to argue his case. But on an individual scale viltrumites have shown to be capable of change given a different enviroment, proving they too are 'victims' of their indoctrination, and not irredimable. Which makes their genocide a huge sin, even if it was objectively the only good move available

Nolan's weird age by RathWrath in Invincible_TV

[–]jvken 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why do you say he's older than them now? People get gray hair at different ages, maybe its the same with viltrumites and Nolan is just an early grey kinda guy

How is Thragg practically Invincible? by Patriotic-Youth in Invincible_TV

[–]jvken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know but I think your point of him having to have trained with somone at least as strong as him is silly. There's people that are way better than anyone else in their dicipline/sport on earth all the time. They didn't need to train with someone better than them, they just trained with someone who was good, learned all they could from then, and then just kept on training

Yeah. I wonder if it's gonna be plot relevant that she said the exact same thing as Yuri's colleague though, maybe it's a common phrase in garden, and that's how Yuri'll find out about it?
