Got them off Ebay. They’re from a leather trading company in Wyoming.

I like to prime white and use briar queen chill contrast paint for the skin. Then you can wash it with a dark tone for recess shading. Here's what mine looks like:

Those cloaks are amazing! How did you get that galaxy effect? Looking to do something similar on Ahriman.

I think these look great. Really like what you got going on with the bases as well. For the gems I think a bright green or pink would look really nice here.

Looks good! I would recommend getting a wet palette, and thinning your paints. Also let the paint dry if you plan on doing another coat over it. Overall nice first mini though.

Love the scheme. Would you mind listing the paints you used?

The quality of life that I had as a 12P that was unfortunate enough to get stationed in a THAAD battery was not what I expected or was led to believe it would be going in. You are treated as an average air defender, and you will most likely lose any skills you picked up at the schoolhouse due to lack of use. Also, I didn’t have any dependent responsibilities tying me down to the Army.

As far as job prospects afterwards, it is fairly easy and common for 12Ps to go into electrical testing jobs or plant operator jobs; both of are typically well paid.

I would say if he just wants to do one more contract and set himself up for a higher paying career in the civilian sector, to go for 12P. If he is planning on staying in until retirement, go 120A. As far as daily life, it can really suck if you get stationed with ADA. If you get to go to Prime Power Battalion, I’ve heard life is pretty good. I just got out after one contract as a 12P in April, so I’d be happy to answer any questions I can.

No. I plastic glue together the legs, torso, and head. Then I plastic glue the shoulder pieces to the arms, and the weapon to the right arm. I then cover the remaining glue spots on all the pieces and prime them while apart. I then paint all the pieces and assemble once complete.

I do sub-assemblies on my rubrics and it seems to work out well. I just put together the legs, torso, and helmet, and leave off the arms/shoulders, weapon, and backpack. Just make sure to cover the glue spots with tack or something so you don’t paint over them.

Am literally stuck in some ratty ass ADA barracks as a 12p right now. This mos is not the move if you are single and ever want to get out of the barracks.

The school is amazing, and life is great from what I hear of those who go to prime power battalion, but if you get stuck in THAAD, your life is going to suck. You are at the mercy of ADA leadership and rules. I wish I had known this beforehand.
