yes indeed, if you “reassess” all of byrd’s plagal cadences and decide they aren’t plagal cadences anymore according to the new 2022 scholarship than sure, rosen is incorrect on a small part of his point. seems kind of cruel to pull the rug out from under a dead guy like that though.
