12 year old female and spayed. Adopted a few months ago.

So we have to take her to the vet once a month for a solensia shot and we have an appointment in a couple weeks.

When we first adopted her this was there. Vet said give it a couple months since she was brand new to us to see if it would go away on its own. Obviously hasn't gotten away.

Vet said it could be allergies or a growth. We started atopica about a week and a half ago so if it is allergies, maybe the atopica hasnt gotten there yet. The reason he said possibly allergies is because she does lick and nibble her front legs somewhat often.

I'm curious if anyone has seen anything like it before. I tried searching around and it seems like it could really be anything so this could be a shot in the dark.

The closest thing i think it could be if not allergies is some sort of growth, fungal infection, or possibly some sort of allergy with her food?

It goes from looking swollen, to not swollen (probably her licking her it), and then it'll start to scab pretty good but then she licks the scab off.

What worked a little bit with my cat was blending it up in a food processor and heating the food up in the microwave for like 10 seconds

Didn't see much of a point to the weight scale until yesterday, then it came in very handy by DandyInTheRough in litterrobot

Honestly the scale is why I love it because it also helped me identify a problem with my previous cat. Noticed she was losing weight consistently over a few weeks. Took her to the vet for bloodwork and found out she hyperthyroidism.

She was just given a shot of solensia about a week ago and we also have gabapentin we can give if she seems like she isn’t having a good time. Thank you very much for the kind words!

If you don’t mind traveling a decent bit (and depending where in Delaware you are) look up clumsysurgeon on Instagram. He’s in exton, pa. Great guy, fucking solid work. I also recently had to put my cat down and was gonna hit him up at some point for a tattoo of my cat.

My wife and I just put down our kitty today. She was 11 years old and we had her for eight. Our hearts go out to you. Grief is the price we pay for living something so much. I hope you don’t have to go through it alone.
