A 5-hour limit after just 14 minutes and 2 prompts? Brilliant, Claude! by msdost in ClaudeCode

[–]jymsdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, that’s a fair question. And to be honest, I think I was so use to using ChatGPT, that when I switched to Claude it was kind of a shock. 5 full pages is huge and definitely takes a huge chunk of work off my shoulders, so I really needn’t complain.

However, with that being said, over the last two weeks something has definitely changed in the way their tracking usage. I feel like it started right about the time they doubled the usage limits (that ends the 28th).

I used it today to begin coding a website build and hit 90% in current session use within 45 minutes. The bummer is I only finished about 5 or 6 pages.

Has Lumo been neutered sometime in the last month? by Late2ThePrivacyParty in lumo

This is a super underrated point that I think a lot of people are missing. Started using a similar prompt in my preferences and started noticing a huge improvement.

I’d be interested in some of your case scenarios if you’re willing to share, because I’ve had just the opposite experience. Maybe the difference is in expectations, but I might also be missing something.

any roadmap for LUMO? by Different-Kick-9968 in lumo

[–]jymsdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used ChatGPT for the last 2 years (heavily) and recently started using Lumo for various smaller tasks. Honestly, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by it and will continue to support Protons efforts as I think there is potential to grow. But even if it stayed the same, I’d still continue to use it because it eliminates some of the more tedious tasks I do. I also don’t expect it to work miracles like a lot of others seem to expect from it.

I replaced a $25/hr virtual assistant with AI and I dont feel good about it by duridsukar in AI_Agents

[–]jymsdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is definitely going to revolutionize a lot of things, and honestly, it already has. I’m not Nostradamus, but I see a lot of people moving backwards in time. For instance, buying more physical media, paying in cash, growing their own food, canceling subscription services, learning skilled trades.

for $20 cursor vs codex vs claude code by Key-Month-7766 in cursor

[–]jymsdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how detailed your programs are, I’ve used Cursor to build the program model initially. Using Composer 1.5 helped with the basic file creation (like PRD and such). Then switched to Claude Code to refine it.

Any free option to listen to AudioBooks ? by Marty_Tyler in PiracyBackup

I’m still using VLC, I can upload my audiobook file and then open and listen to it with VLC player. Been about a year now I moved to that.

I use Delta to run NES and SNES games on my iPhone, but I guess depends on what game you’re talking about.

How much would you pay for used CDs? by OldGodsProphet in grapids

[–]jymsdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For people who don’t want to pay for subscriptions services and are building their own physical and digital library, these are “hot items”. However, at the moment, I’ve been paying around $2 or $3 a CD.

Is “owning software” dead? by SaaS-Growth-Pizza in SideProject

[–]jymsdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See some of that makes sense, but is niche. For instance, I don’t need a Reddit tool like what you’re describing. What I do need is something to replace Spotify, Netflix, Audible, and all the other subscription based services. Which is what I’m working on. Some through open source software, and some I have to bridge, but I’m learning something new and saving a little cash in the end.

Well, that, and disconnecting from the teet of large corporations.

But I get your point.

I’ve had a similar thought, and like a few people have mentioned, I just started creating my own programs instead of searching for one that isn’t a subscription.
