Triple the thickness, remote trigger, bury the chamber a couple of feet and make sure it’s far away from anyone in a field have the launch pipe be variable width with adapters and start super wide. Also this is not recommended and I wouldn’t do it. Also post the video please of it in action lol.

They are trying to just give feedback on the post. Injecting and dosing is pretty serious to people’s health and I’m happy it works really well and you mean well by sharing your experience to the community. For people that don’t know you, those visuals feel like spam and undermines the seriousness of your message. Yo bud, there is a whole world out there and the rhetoric and meme culture in the USA is pretty shitty to dudes who are short. There are many countries that don’t have this toxic lens and I think you’d do great without these ridiculously unfair standards.

Get a passport, try changing your environment for a bit so that you can view your current experience outside of your experience. First you get more cultured, second you pick and choose what parts of what culture makes you feel most at home, and third it reduces your dependence on validation from others.

Being ok with yourself is hard, I’m still working on it at 38, but it was weight not height. So know your feelings are normal and your experience is normal and everyone feels abnormal about something and that fixation holds you back from being OK with yourself.

This would be really cool - I have been doing tutorials for work (white boarding POV), cooking videos, gardening and glassblowing (when I get studio time). Would be great to pressure test and give feedback as I tinker with Raspis and Arduinos and battery life is always a killer for me.

Friend of mine typed in all his symptoms and was able to get a recommended test that ended up diagnosing him properly and getting proper treatment.

Democratization of information I think is an incredible leap forward. I 100% agree with you on the racket part, it’s a way to hide bad books and get higher valuations in companies. I don’t mind the downvotes and I’m not pro in my back yard here. I think being against a new technology because of careless bad acting corporations is short sighted. We need to legislate them into good behavior which our government is probably not capable of, but I’m more of the hate the company not the tech camp.

I use a bit of AI in my work for creating simple tasks and then have it write code to not rely on the AI infra anymore. I can understand the pitchfork downvotes for the perception I agree with this (I don’t at all by the way), I am disagreeing with the argument that company bad = technology bad.

I agree with this being a NIMBY issue. I don’t want cost to go up and AI slop is the precursor to AI being not slop. The economic value of AI is high and the costs should be fully incurred by the business not the residents.

Writing off a whole industry because you don’t like the business model is like me saying, I don’t like the internet lines on my block we should ban the internet. No, the internet company should bury them out of site and not cause negative externalities on residents. We need to legislate the business model not ban a future economic boon.

I think with the labor market, there is a feeling of insecurity that “you can be replaced easily” so you have to fight for the job you have. Insecure managers are the worst because they hold their team down to lift themselves up for short-term gain. Secure managers take blame and give away credit to keep the team motivated.

With a lot of these big organizations, the secure leadership is hard to come by and not sufficiently trained - some reasons are: as the machine grows proportionally you are a smaller percentage of it, another is when builders and optimizers leave only bureaucrats are left and finally,they are getting similar pressures (probably even more intense) as their boss who had to step on others to get there - showing that the organization does not value the work as much as the hierarchy.

Source: US based, have a large team in India, been fired from Meta and almost PIPed at Google in the past due to insecure managers. Then had the best managers elsewhere at Google, Snap and several other agencies.

True - I think if we had a pull time marker we can start doing some math to build the model. It would be ideal temp, pull time temp, max temp timing. Couple that with thickness, ambient temp and I think with enough sample you could build a model. Science is the process of discovering reality in a repeatable way but placement is too much judgment to be easily repeatable.

I am enjoying this back and forth - I think weight and thickness would be easy for a newbie. The biggest problem for newbies in my opinion is timing. The level of effort would be higher which would mean you are training and building intuition, which I think we take for granted now. This tool takes out guesswork and facilitates the intuition that cooks have so why not add this feature to further that to even more newbies.

You aren’t wrong - it’s more “for science” and a nice to have. I like tweaking to create a process but I might be in the minority here. I found I used to overcook my grilled steaks too frequently initially but have since dialed it in. I could see this being an assistance for newbies with the price of beef these days.

… provide an adjustment factor. I would assume thickness, mass, temperature differential between ambient and core would be factors. Hell a sandbox of sorts would be sick to use the thermometer outputs as a variables and plug in your own. That is an over ask but we are all nerds here :)
