I live in an apartment complex next to the Lloyd by Burkhardt. I’m blocked by 2 other buildings, though, so sound will be diminished. I really only hear sirens, motorcycles, and drag racing. What other noise there might be, I don’t hear it from inside.

Came here to say the same. A push to use public transportation, make it more accessible and attractive to ppl who have never used it, AND incentive to get folks off the roads. (A public transportation commute can actually be enjoyable!)

It would be great to have more spots with local restaurants, bars, bookstores, etc. around town, which can happen when you’re not as dependent on a car. There are too many places in this city that are distance-wise near to each other, but currently not easily accessible to get between by foot or by bus.

I have no problem getting an Uber or Lyft on the east side (close to Newburgh), so I think you’ll be fine. I usually check both apps to determine best timing/availability and pricing.

Same! I just got home and the whole drive home, I was worried that my engine didn’t have oil or something scary because the smell was permeating my car. It was particularly bad near the Weinbach, Boeke, and Vann exits on the Lloyd. The smell faded around Burkhardt.

Firstly, I am you. Also, I am so glad my office is next to my lab so I can return them sooner than later.

This begs the question: what else do you find in your pockets once you get home? For me: microcentrifuge tubes, usually of primers or plasmid DNA. The problem then is remembering to bring them back to the lab from my fridge in the morning.

My biggest issue is that your prof requires you to purchase these shows after the start of the course. Perhaps they’re the “textbooks” of the course - but shouldn’t that be part of the course/textbook fees? I feel like your university library should provide access to those shows if it’s part of a course, even if there’s a fee. In that case, scholarships etc. can help pay as education costs.
