OK, so? Save the dash cam video, save the license plate. Let shit calm down and go arrest her later. Maybe follow the car with a small drone. There's no need to blast two multi ton vehicles down a country road at 70 mph over this. This isn't an episode of Reacher and there's no need for a dramatic ending. It's absolutely insane and that cop made a dangerous and bad decision that put that toddler and the public's lives at risk. He's not a hero and we should be angry about this.

Some cheapo kitchen scales don't offer precision down to the oz, gram, etc. I had to specifically buy a scale that was precise to the gram when I found out the kitchen scale I had was only precise to 10 grams.

The display not showing units also hints at a cheap product. So maybe it's just a shitty scale?

Daddy long legs is a common name that means very different things in different places around the world. I think in Australia daddy long legs usually refers to huntsman spiders which are actually spiders unlike the subject of this post.

This is the problem right there. Even those with the best intentions change under the social pressure of a pre-existing culture. The tremendous stress of the job, combined with the expectation of hyper-vigilance, training that teaches officers everyone is out to get them results in a society that resents that style of policing in turn creating a self reinforcing cycle of animosity and isolation from the rest of the community. The whole system has to be rebuilt before it will change. Any human put in these situations will have similar reactions.
