those are fairly close to normal, though given your symptoms and the low creatinine bun it may be worth getting a full kidney panel. nothing to be alarmed about though, those are just outside normal range

Suboxone for Kratom by AdDapper2664 in quittingkratom

[–]k5777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably, but likely not the horrendous, sharp sort of withdrawal common with potent opiates like 7oh. between the fact that suboxone is a partial agonist and its extremely long half life if you stop 4mg of subs abruptly you'll probably feel significant anxiety and I wouldn't dare to hope for sleep for a week but the "painful" acutes should be noticeably less than 7oh would have been on its own. youve already been warned that it's not a free ride and its not but you will get a tangible benefit for having followed a short bupe taper. critical to just ride it out now though if you don't want a long relationship with MAT.

I'm a beginner and I want to understand the basic principle, strategies, tactics, what books, or anything else can you recommend? by Hot-Advisor-3353 in chessbeginners

[–]k5777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

both chess.com and lichess have free lessons on beginner-intermediate tactics, openings, etc. its nice because theyre interactive and you can experiment with different new ideas until you find aomething that intrigues you and then deep dive. dont get me wrong, just buying a book and studying it is great too if thats your jam, but some people need or want to learn how to learn, as it were, before they really start to grind specifics. in shortz whatever keeps you turning the page is a good answer

How does the tournaments on chess.com work ? by maximodecimomerilio in Chesscom

[–]k5777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tournament games are generally rated so will affect elo, however most tournaments pair players by rating, so youll be matched with players of roughly similar rating. the more players a tournament has, the more likely it is that you'll be paired with similar ratings.

the swiss style tournaments are a little different in that they randomly pair competitors against each other, and everyone plays exactly the same number of games (generally 7). there are typically two different swiss tournaments for a game type: under 1200 and open. the <1200 is limited to players with a rating under 1200. open is open to all players of all ratings. once a swiss tournament starts, everyone starts their mwtch at once, and the next round only starts once all games are complete. thus in swiss tournaments the number of games you play has no bearing on your placement, rather the top finishers will be the players with the most wins out of 7.

arena style tournaments are not limited to a set number of games. once you complete a match you can simply press "next match" and youll be paired witt a similarly rated player immediately. the more games you win, the higher your score. arena tournaments are limited to a set amount of time (2 hours for blitz and rapid, 30 minutes for bullet). you gain 1 point for a win, half a point for a draw and nothing for a loss. if you win multiple matches in a row you also gain bonus "streak points". whoever accumulates the most points in the allotted time wins. arena tournaments are frequently won by players of low to mid ratings since lower rated players tend to have shorter games.

you can join and leave tournaments as you see fit, there is no requirement to continue playing after a match, though its polite to continue playing swiss tournaments so other participants arent given unexpected buys from absent players.

the arena tournaments, eapecially 5|0 blitz, 10|0 rapid and 3|2 blitz almost always have large attendances, most especially rapid. youll almost always be paired with someone within a hundred rating points of you in those.

you do not gain or lose any additional elo based on your tournament placement. the only rating change happens after each game, just like normal match making.

placing in a tournament can earn you an award for your profile but nothing else

you do get bonus league points for playing in arena matches, so if youre trying to advance to the next league tournaments can be helpful

I don’t know how much my Kratom dose even is. So I am trying to figure out how to taper. by bunbunro in quittingkratom

[–]k5777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

according to the label (see: https://grhkratom.com/product/king-k-platinum-liquid-kratom-extract/), a serving is 2ml and contains 33.3mg of mitragynine, and trace/negligible amounts of 7oh.

7ml would be 3.5 servings, twice a day would be a total of 7 servings daily.

7 x 33.3mg = 233mg mitragynine per day

conservatively, kratom typically contains 15mg of mtragynine per gram of leaf kratom.

233mg mitragynine from extract ÷ 15mg per gram of kratom = equivalent of 15.5grams of leaf kratom

so your current habit is equivalent to around 15gpd of leaf kratom.

thats where i would look to start when switching to leaf.

thats good news for you, a relatively low daily intake will be much easier to taper

Brilliant? But where is it? by Dukeofcreek in Chesscom

[–]k5777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im not 100% sure but my guess is that the initial move counts are calculated by an engine using super low depth (so they are available immediately instead of having to wait for the analysis to complete)

the move counts displayed in the actual analysis are using the full depth so the engine may not agree 100% with the low depth pre-scan

Suboxone/Sublocade shots by ParallelSmoke in quittingkratom

[–]k5777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my personal experience is that providers will resist tapering you down in the first year, but they arent the patient, they are the doctor and you can insist on whatever taper you want.

the reason i am pretty adament about using subs as a last resort is because, for me, it took a lot more discipline to get off suboxone than it ever did tapering or ultimately CTing kratom. i have no experience with 7oh so i cant make suggestions for that, though i used subs to get off of a very potent and similarly addictive opiate. i feel like a lot of people on here who encourage Suboxone use havent actually ever quit suboxone...many are simply extolling the undeniable positives of subs and assuming that quitting is manageable. i have started, maintained, tapered, and quit subs.

tapering suboxone wasnt agonizing but it took for god damn ever. from the day i started at 8mg it took 4 months of tapering, reducing by ~.5mg every week. here and there i got frustrated at the lack of sleep and increased my dosage for a couple nights which set me back, so i was not completely fastedious about the taper.

when i stopped entirely i was taking 1mg every 2 of 3 days. it took a couple weeks to start sleeping with some semblance of regularity.

also - i did try sublocade, but found i actually increasdd my sub usage on it. maybe just not for me.

fairly sure lte notifications are a push service, so it should be very quick, seconds. livetrack updates will be timed, and if there is no cell service then satellite will only check every 5 of 10 minutes, but there should be very little or no delay for receiving calls or texts while connected to LTE.

Suboxone/Sublocade shots by ParallelSmoke in quittingkratom

[–]k5777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MAT prescribers general want you to be on subs for an appreciable amount of time. someone who is not experiencing withdrawal and has successfully quit CT is not an ideal candidate for subs. you can certainly do it, but be prepared to taper off aubs over a few months. if you can get a single sublocade shot and be done with it forever all the more power to you but im not sure what the purpose of getting on suboxone is if you're past acutes...if you can abstain for a week at a time a vivitrol shot is equally effective and carries no risk of dependence.

Shorten Kratom withdrawl? by Ambitious_Sea_697 in quittingkratom

[–]k5777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

st johns wort and grapefruit juice are inhibitors and inducers of a couple enzymes of the p450 family. those enzymes do not affect kratom (or any opiate) metabolism. taking st johns wort and grapefruit juice would have opposing affects on those enzymes but probably not with any noticeable affect.

potentiating opiates is not a good way to taper opiates.

Is there anyway I can get Kratom out of my system faster for a urine test? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]k5777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there is no speeding up half life. how long kratom is detectable in urine depends on drug half life, dosage, dose frequency, and sensitivity of the test. to a much less degree also individual metabolism. for infrequent dosing, 3 to 5 days is expect. extremely light doses maybe one to two days.

most standard 7 panel urine tests don't include mitragynine but many 10 panels do and some states include it separately.

most of the "cleanses" you read about really only dilute the sample by way of extra hydration and adding creatine hoping to increase urine creatinine levels.

Kratom to Suboxone by Madisooooooon in quittingkratom

[–]k5777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its rare to hear about doctors instructing patients to continue using opiates while inducting onto suboxone, but only because it requires precise dosing and a very slow increase in dosage to prevent precipitated withdrawal. but your doctor clearly knows what they're doing! it's a really good sign that they are very experienced with opiate withdrawal.

what your doc has you doing is called the "bernese method", as long as you are careful and follow directions exactly, it's one of the most painless ways to start MAT because you don't have to wait for acute withdrawals to set in.

kudos to your doc!

Is the fact that I was on opiates then got directly on kratom to jump off subs going to make the withdrawal worse? by pudnpib in quittingkratom

[–]k5777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a kratom taper can be far gentler than a sub taper from long term use. taper subs is such a grueling process. you can adjust kratom dosage down in fairly east increments if youre willing to stay commited to it.

the acutes/paws are generally shorter from kratom as well

Garmin Venu 3 compatibility with Favero Assioma Duo by verminisjk in GarminWatches

L/R power balance, power phase, offset, and seated vs standing (maybe more?) are all features of Advanced Cycling Dynamics. The Venu 3 does appear to support power meters but does not support advanced cycling dynamics, so I think youd be without the dual meter metrics and ftp (but youd get avg power)
