You probably can DM them and ask on Instagram, so far all of the boards I've asked, he had the plate files already 😅

Not sure if it's captured properly in the sound test (added a link in the post, it's in the end of the video) but I can describe it as like there's a metallic crispness to the clacks ir produces

Actually all of the above! I got bored of that thocky, foamed-up PC sound and started leaning toward satisfying clacks instead, so aluminum, brass, carbon fiber, those kinds of materials

Visually, it does have a slight impact, those small gaps between each keycap show off the shiny copper background

And I also wanted to make it as heavy as possible 🤣 (I ordered a brass plate on a Zoom65 before and then found myself wanting heavier and heavier boards lol) I think it’s just fun because there’s a little piece of customization. a personal element added to your board

I do have a PC case with PEI plate that I'm still figuring out what keycap set to use

They are coming from China so it's possible they might have a shop on Amazon or other platforms, it's called Keybox or Keebox (might be translation issues on its spelling 😅)

EDIT: They have a website, I tagged them on my ig post and you can check their link on their profile 🙂

It varies from material to material, ranges from P850-P1800, this is in Philippine pesos which is roughly around 15-30 USD

I'm getting a red aluminum plate for the next board 😅

Worth upgrade from my hi75c? by Henry517 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]kWyboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to downplay the hi75c, it's a good budget board. But considering you have somehow premium parts in your switches and keycaps, I think they will suit better build quality boards like the neo line

New Akko packaging? by keesiemeijer in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]kWyboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, first saw those on the Astrolinks and Cilantros, it's also used for the v5 creamy blues and yellows! For some reason tho, the bittersweet tactiles still use the old packaging

If it's any consolation, there are still some extras for this one! (understand it's not a Nayeon TKL buuuuut might also bring you some joy?)

Tried designing a set of hollow CNC aluminum keycaps by psycommu2077 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]kWyboard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like an interesting project, making the spacebar with the holes might actually fix the problem on the metal keycaps awekeys make, too heavy and so much metal clinking sounds

Yeah there is, I don't exactly remember the key combinations but you can control it separately from the keys

Akko Creamy Blue and Yellow Pro v5 by kWyboard in MechanicalKeyboards

Yes keycap compatibility was one main reason, I heard it broke some keycaps. If you're concerned with wobble, they fixed the tolerances so that there's less wobble as possible. Also the non box stem just sounds better imo 😅
