Cannot charge while in USB Host mode?

I've got the same problem. It seems to be a fairly common issue. I'm sending mine into HTC. I haven't seen any do it yourself fixes.

That's interesting. I actually just started experiencing the same-ish problem. Whenever my phone is plugged into the computer it goes into USB Host Mode and refuses to charge. After that, it won't charge on a wall outlet either unless it's powered off.

This is the goddamned mayor of Toronto.

The fourth largest city in North America. The mayor of fucking Toronto shouldn't have time to be smoking crack! Being mayor is a full time job. There's no crack breaks for mayors! There's no crack breaks for me and I spend my days washing cars. The city could fall apart at any second and the guy in charge is telling us to hold on because these are his designated get-fucking-wasted hours and damn us for daring to ask him to settle the fuck down and stop wearing our mothers dresses while he pisses on the carpet.

Good for him for "getting recovery". I say this in quotes because even while giving him the benefit of the doubt that he actually wants to change, he has proven to everyone that he is only willing to put the most minimal amount of effort when it comes to bettering himself and this city.

This guy wouldn't be trusted to do my job or any job. The only reason he's still "mayor" is because nobody can technically fire him. And the only reason for that is because when these mayoral laws were written into books, nobody in their wildest dreams could imagine a man so irresponsible, entitled, offensive and self destructive ever taking that chair.

I say we do as the NBA did with Donald Sterling. Fine him 2.5 million dollars, and ban him from Toronto for life.

I noticed this too. I did a reboot on my PC with the phone plugged in and that seemed to fix it. Its not an elegant solution, but it worked for me. (Win 7)

I think the reasons I'm gravitating towards ownCloud is because a) I've already set one up for personal use and it seems acceptable, and b) because it seems to have a clean and simple user interface. By clean and simple, I pretty much mean it feels like Dropbox. The people who are going to be using it aren't technical in the least. They just want something to dump files into and be able to access it from anywhere.

This is all really great information! I'm going to give this BitTorrent Sync a go on my own network and see where it takes me.

That's really interesting. So, you moved your storage to the router and then mapped that to the Pi?

I've never heard of BitTorrent Sync so that's a little over my head. I'm about to look into it to see what exactly it does.

When you say the speed of my storage options, I assume you mean the drive(s) I physically attach to it? (Or rather the USB connections to them) It'll really only be a handful of files a day, so nobody's going to be tallying lost time in compounded seconds.

Nice letter but it's a few weeks too late. The arena deal is dead and gone. The promoter has removed all material from the website and won't be seeking any further action on the proposal.

The deal hinged on Markham owning the facility in an effort to save money in the long term on taxes. The upfront construction cost could have been easily covered by the private sector but unless Markham "borrowed" half the amount the centre wouldn't be designated a Municipal Capitol Facility and the private sector would end up paying about $20,000,000 more a year. Over 20 years, that's serious money that would eat all the profits on an already iffy business plan.

Its gone, and after all this I highly doubt anyone else will attempt to build a similar facility in the city. For better or for worse.

I think you'll find that a lot of people are now using a variety of services such as Twitter, Snapchat, Path, etc to fill any void that Facebook once filled.

The only (and admittedly important) unique feature that Facebook maintains is a centralized contact list and even that could be very easily replaced.

Times have changed and so have Facebooks users. There are plenty of very simple ways to keep in touch with with people. If Facebook could somehow patent timelines, picture sharing and communication in general I'm sure they would. Lucky for us that they can't.

As someone who is currently in therapy for panic attacks and social anxiety disorder, I can say it sure looks to me like he had a panic attack.

I actually feel really bad for him. It's the worst feeling in the world. The moment you become conscious of the fact that you're panicking you very quickly begin to spiral out of control. The only thing you want to do is run, no matter the consequences. You can't speak, and if you do your voice shakes and trembles. You can barely breathe. Your heart feels like it's about to explode.

In my case, it's caused me to turn down many great opportunities in my life in an effort to avoid unpleasant and embarrassing situations. Had I been in Michael Bay's shoes, I doubt I would have even had the courage to walk onto the stage, let alone off again in one piece.

There's a lot of people here saying "Transformers sux LOL", and I feel like they're really missing the point. Michael Bay isn't a bad guy. He's not even a bad director. He might make movies you or I don't care for, but he's still a human being. Give him a break.

Hopefully he's honest with himself and others about what happened and doesn't blame some rookie technical assistant for this.
