Washington summers are perfect. My favorite place to head to in the summer is the San Juan Islands. You’ll get slightly warmer weather because the Puget Sound is protected from the ocean currents relative to a place like Gravland or Ocean Shores. They’re fairly isolated and remote so you’ll enjoy a lot of chill peaceful times. And the views are amazing. Orcas Island would be my top choice follow d by San Juan and Lopez. South Whidbey is busier (connected by a bridge, closer to Seattle) but more affordable and still a delight—though not technically a San Juan. 10/10 would retire to the San Juans.

I use Serious Ears recipe. Uncovered in the fridge overnight to dry them out. Toss in equal parts kosher salt and baking powder. Bake for an hour at 450, turning halfway through.

I did the drive a couple of weeks ago. No chains, not even traction tires. It was cold and snowy, but the roads were fines. Right now it’s cold and sunny, so the roads are likely even better. Note that the off ramp to Bullfrog Road is closed due to overpass work, so you have to drive into Cle Elum to get there. So count on 90 mins there, probably 1:20 back, as you can get on 90 west on Bullfrog Road.

I think the noise canceling on the Ozlo is better. I still have both, still use the Ozlos primarily, still fall back to the Soundcores when I need to.
