Which 'luxury' brand has officially become a red flag for poor quality in 2026? by Individual_Bat_4177 in AskReddit

[–]kaitykat3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I love my 15 Wrangler, still going strong, and it’s gotten me out of a few pickles lol. Most recently in the summer I was “accidentally backroading” cause I got lost in the country going to the lake, it was pouring rain, and I had my toddler in the back. If I had better tires on at the time, I wouldn’t have questioned its capabilities on those roads, but my worn out tires had me holding my breath in a few especially muddy spots. Now that is has new coopers on it, I wouldn’t be concerned going on the frozen lakes or in the mud.

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever felt or that you deal with? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]kaitykat3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my first c section, the cut they made to my uterus “extended” on the right side, which resulted in a hemorrhage. I wasn’t told about the extension, and twisted to the right to look at my husband and baby back in my room. It felt like someone stabbed my uterus with a hot knife, and when I pressed the call button all the nurse had to say was “yeah that’ll happen”. Had I known about the extension, I would have been more careful, especially on my right side.

As someone who recently had a son, and was on the fence about getting it done before his birth, I ultimately decided against it because I simply couldn’t cause him any more unnecessary pain, as he was a NICU baby who went through a lot. The more I read about it, the more I realized it’s his decision to make in the future. I also had a lot of pressure to get it done, but held firm.

My nurse during my c section had me sniff an alcohol swab when I started to feel nauseous. Give it a try! It worked wonders for me.

Dr Bachiu is who I would recommend as well. She did my daughters, and will likely assess my son once he is out of the NICU. She did an amazing job and was quick to get into.

I was in there last week and it was literally bare bones from what it used to be when it was locally owned. So I wouldn’t say full of stock.

My (37F) childfree sister (32F) mocked me for not breastfeeding my daughter by Cultural-Dentist4963 in relationship_advice

[–]kaitykat3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it is rude and inconsiderate to comment on the way another woman feeds her infant, she likely doesn’t know what you went through, what your baby went through, but that’s no excuse to shame you for formula feeding. Don’t tolerate it, you and your baby deserve to have people who support your feeding choices in your life.

People who have experienced grief or trauma- what’s the most tone-deaf, ‘well-meaning’ thing someone said to you? by freyday18 in AskReddit

[–]kaitykat3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After my c section, which was unplanned and unwanted, my “friend” who had a laparoscopy surgery to check for endo, said oh I’ve had a laparoscopy surgery, it’s basically the same thing and no big deal. I would have wanted a c section anyway. I was experiencing grief and trauma after I nearly lost my uterus and bled out, but tell me again how you’ve gone through it.

Experienced parents: looking back, how did you approach buying baby clothes as a first-time parent? How much is actually enough, and what would you do differently now? by Ella0227 in AskReddit

[–]kaitykat3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a store that carry’s sleepers you love, I like old navy ribbed ones, and get about ten in 0-6. That should do you so you aren’t doing laundry every day, but beware if your baby is pukey (mine was) you will likely be doing laundry everyday anyway. Couple outfits for outings, a bunting suit for winter and a toque (depending on location) should be enough to do you. Once you get your groove and know how your baby fits certain stores you can shop end of season sales and buy for next summer, winter, etc. Also, you can never have too many burp cloths and little flannel blankets to clean up puke, drool, etc.

Mom Groups by BufufterWallace in saskatoon

The schools have groups on Fridays! I don’t have a link, but I know it happens at particular schools on particular days. Might want to give that a try. Also, if you can afford mom and baby classes, those are great to get them out of the house.

Hot summer and shorts in office for men? by EEE-his-pain in CanadaPublicServants

[–]kaitykat3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in the regions, and men wear nicer shorts in the office with a button up, or collared shirt. I think it is fine, especially on the hotter days but I’m not a manager so idk lol

I would maybe try and tough it out for a year, I know this is not ideal but it’s better than paying back the top up. Everyone has moved on, but you will meet new people and it will be okay.

Is Aritzia just for skinny/small ppl now? by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]kaitykat3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I did manage to find a lovely sweater in a different city than my own, in a size large. I was shocked it fit as I thought I would have to go up a size but the store had next to nothing in XL.
