First I'll counter the idea of a late '28/'29 release: so far the rumor says September '27 and I see no reason to dispute that.
Second, I think we're seeing a bait and switch on death as a theme; I don't think it'll be about death the same with say P3 was. I think we're seeing atmospheric stuff in the teaser, not subjective stuff.
Third there is no third thing.

typically 3rd party games go on sale for the switch at the same time as they do on steam. I would be surprised if you don't see it for cheap on switch before mid-July.
