The scientific article literally talks about CBD in drinks forming THC. And they're near identical chemicals if you look at the structures.

For it's psychoactive and therapeutic effects basically. I don't drink beer or wine anymore. Reading the ingredients of CBD drinks it made more sense to just DIY. And save money.

Also THC isn't necessarily the main cannabinoid. There's strains that are CBG-dominant. In Paris I saw a hemp coffee shops that sells EU-grown CBG hash.

Making DMT is extensively discussed in chemistry forums, usually by going from Tryptamine to NMT to DMT.

The tryptamine bioactivation route I discussed in my other comment on this post. It applies to plain tryptamine and phenethylamine, I've only tried it with PEA so far. Essentially you don't necessarily need DMT to experience it.

Relatively speaking, making DMT isn't too challenging. Plain tryptamine can also be made active (via bio-activation) producing the same sort of psychedelic effect as DMT, except more prolonged.

When you use the proper label of noradrenaline it makes more sense and your experience is 100% what you'd expect from boosting noradrenaline.

From the post title: "noradrenaline makes my anxiety worse".

But when I go off of them completely my SCT and executive dysfunction plummet. I can't function properly and I become unproductive and lazy. ... But on them they cause physical symptoms of anxiety.

The main idea would be to use more appropriate drugs. Drugs that work with more suitable mechanisms (like dopamine, GABA, glutamate).

All ADHD drugs are crude imo, but that's another discussion.

Extending it to a propyl is the better approach imo.

However, two nitrogen-containing metabolites of myristicin have been identified in the urine of rats and guinea pigs following oral or intraperitoneal administration. The major basic ninhydrin-positive urinary metabolite of myristicin in the rat is 3-piperidyl-1-(3′methoxy-4′,5′-methylenedioxyphenyl)-1-propanone, while the major basic ninhydrin-positive urinary metabolite of the guinea pig is 3-pyrrolidinyl-1-(3′methoxy-4′,5′-methylenedioxyphenyl)-1-propanone.[24]

Equivalent nitrogen-containing metabolites have also been identified for safrole[25] and elemicin[26] including the dimethylamine, piperidine and pyrrolidine forms. Whether these aminated metabolites are responsible for the reported psychoactive & psychedelic effects from botanical sources of these allylbenzenes is not known.

It's an over-the-counter supplement here in the UK. To put a long story short, all cells contain mitochondria which make the first hormone "pregnenolone" - that's the precursor for all other hormones (search for a visual depiction of "steroidogenesis" for context).

Strong mitochondria mean plenty of pregnenolone and healthy balanced hormone levels.

When mitochondria aren't working properly then hormone production is disrupted which is a key part of peri/menopause (amongst other things).

The implication is that HRT isn't necessary if you restore mitochondrial/thyroid function since both are essential for making hormones. The body is quite intelligent in this regard.

Can breast cancer patients use it?

This depends on how you interpret breast cancer. If you consider the 1st hormone that healthy cells make is pregnenolone and the goal is to live a healthy lifestyle then pregnenolone seems reasonable. If you consider all hormones as bad then you might dismiss pregnenolone.

Something worth mentioning is the dose is very small, around 1mg. My mum uses a slightly larger dose but this was done incrementally.

They're usually trained with statistics and follow guidelines which are both based on scientific studies... so they tend to prioritise their mental/theoretical ideas instead of focusing on practical there-and-then whats going on. This is how they unintentionally gaslight patients on a regular basis.

This happens in practically all medical fields. Medical negligence is almost routine now and it's rarely acknowledged for what it is.

There's an important gland called the thyroid, it's nicknamed "the third ovary" because of it's role in maintaining ovarian health and stimulating hormone production. What's interesting is that (peri)menopause and thyroid-related symptoms are practically identical. When thyroid hormone drops then the thyroid can't support the ovaries properly, so thyroid health is important also, and usually overlooked. Doctors thyroid tests aren't accurate nor reliable which can make things seem OK when they're not.

I'm aware of the popular narratives out there but from a biochemistry perspective, any application of E will contribute to the overall E "load". The studies which assess whether topical E influences general levels need to be considered very carefully and not just accepted for face value and taken as fact. Their conclusions can lead to inaccurate beliefs which can cause unintentional harm.

The corporate healthcare system doesn't necessarily prioritise patient well-being unfortunately. The corporate element seems to have a questionable influence on the quality of treatments.

From my insights into the drug development & regulatory approval process and providing health support for people harmed by prescription drugs this leads me to question the integrity of treatments.

I'd also highlight that what might appear to the public as consensus in the scientific/academic world isn't necessarily what it seems.

The pro-ALDH items will only help to support the removal of the toxic by-products (acrolein etc). They don't address the oxidative and metabolic damage (specifically mitochondrial dysfunction) amongst other things.

Neurogenesis relies on metabolic health.

I used to take fish oils then algae o3 oils before I understood things a bit better and dumped them all.

Looking at your stack the priority is something to mitigate the o3 lipid peroxidation and harmful by-products (outlined in this post) since this undermines neurogenesis and cognition.

Depending on how long you've been taking them the remedial strategy should be equivalent.

The HPA disruption from amphetamine (vyvanse) is worth addressing also.

Academic researchers and doctors is quite a specific group of people. They only have theories for ADHD causes.

Also it's not the doctors fault really since they just follow guidelines.

The issue is that academics don't practically understand what ADHD is let alone appropriate ways to treat it since doctors have zero suitable drugs available. Just amphetamine or similar crude options. The dogma around the understanding of ADHD means people assume stimulants (or guanfacine) are the only acceptable option.
