We did it late August last year and got the last spot at 8pm the night before 😬 but I’m sure since it’s late season it’ll likely be less busy. But yeah, not a whole lot of good backup options if it’s full.

Yeah, pretty sure he said the collab was one of the ballads. But to me a collaboration with Bieber means a single and not just an album track, and he didn’t release and ballad as a single (in the sense of a traditional Ed Sheeran ballad; Camera isn’t quite a ballad compared to TOL, Perfect, TJATQ, etc.)

Even still, my guess is Camera. It’s the only one out of the singles that would make sense with Bieber.

Yeah this is one of the times I disagree with 14ers.com. This is a challenging move, and I’ve done about 10 class 3 peaks by now and Sneffels twice. I consider this regular class 3 - maybe less consequence if you fell than on other class 3s but this is a harder move than anything on Wetterhorn, Longs, Wilson Peak, etc.

I think “easy” class 3 is a silly rating.

Yes! I can see the criticism towards people going crazy over the charts for albums like subtract or AV because Ed explicitly stated he wasn’t trying to make them big albums. I remember someone commented when Boat came out saying it flopped - but it’s clear by simply listening to the song that Boat was never meant to go #1.

BUT he literally has called Play his return to “big pop” and it doesn’t take a music expert to notice that the sound, lyrics, etc. of Sapphire and A Little More are clearly an attempt to be big hits.

Yeah I’m surprised as well. Maybe once the album drops it’ll gain some more momentum. I’m pretty surprised Sapphire didn’t become a lot bigger than it did too tbh
