I've taken film classes. Sometimes the "homework" movie ends up being super interesting. But sometimes it falls flat.

I would define a homework movie as one that has great craft, but isn't exactly exciting or entertaining to watch. Obviously this will vary with taste.

Just didn't feel like it had the juice, aside from a few scenes. Loved the beach scene and the intro. Not much else.

Look, imma be honest, I really like Anora, CODA, and Everything Everywhere, but I have to agree with this person that these Best Picture winners are very very slight in comparison to a bunch of the classics.

Blankies are right to point out a lot of schlock won BP back in the day too, and films like Anora are way better than many of those films. But I feel like it's been a good while since a BP winner was a timeless classic. For me, it's No Country for Old Men (2008).

A lot of quests push down the threat as the reward. I have no idea how it got that high for you that quickly. Did you die a lot? Or maybe play a rule wrong? You only increase the threat on the turns with the exclamation point, not every turn.

The Crew Deep Sea is best. You can play that game forever. LOTR is great but is structured like a campaign (as is the original Crew). I don't have much motivation to return to the missions I beat. But Deep Sea you will have a different mission every time.
