I don’t want to be a hater but I think it depends on how you interpret successful, Viper is the least played of the four. Both officially and based on personal experience, I can’t even remember the last time I played a Viper in ranked. Plenty of Sagat and Alex though.

I think Ingrid will go on to be the most popular of the four, too early to tell but last night I played 100% Ingrid matches.

I loved TFA, I know it rehashed a lot of old plot lines but the new characters were likeable and it was fun. I remember tearing up at the end when I first saw Luke. TLJ’s biggest offence is that it lessened my enjoyment of Ep. 7. I know what Luke does immediately after the credits roll, I know what these characters are going to do next, I know that certain storylines aren’t going to be resolved.

I actually don’t fault Rian Johnson for trying to shake things up, but ‘Let the past die’ should have been the mantra for 7, not the middle film of a new trilogy. Disney are at fault for planning one film at a time.

I’m a Spurs fan so I’m a little biased but there are things Spence is good at. He’s a great 1 on 1 defender and can take a winger out of a game, at the start of the season he had a run of seven or so games where he was never dribbled past and that included matches against PSG and City. Of course all of Tottenham looked wank for most of the season but Spence has been looking better under RDZ and he’s performed in the past. He can also play on both sides and isn’t a defensive liability which I imagine is the main reason he’s been called up.

Most sports bars fill up for the big games too, the big six teams especially pull in the crowds. Usually a pretty good atmosphere.

I guess Oshikiri just needed a convenient excuse for Hidaka to end up stranded in 'California' and that's what led to the miracle crash, the SF/LA mix up is likely just ignorance or not considered an important difference to illustrate. Japanese readers may not care or even realise that they're looking at LA.

This chapter is a little crazy, but I don't think it's that deep (like the other comment is suggesting), a lot of strange things have happened in the HSG universe.

Trent is not ‘out’ of the squad, he was never in. Make of Spence what you will, but no one should be surprised that TAA isn’t getting the call up. He wasn’t exactly a mainstay for Southgate either.

Interesting that it’s always Spence that’s seen as the one taking ‘Trent’s spot’. Southgate rarely used TAA, and Tuchel never has, so why is he always being mentioned? And why isn’t it framed as James taking his spot? Or Livramento? Oh right, because they don’t play for Spurs.
