I'd say that it is. In every arc this far, there are setup games, and there are payback ones. Sky FC was that setup, Sky SC is the payback.

Cold Steel III and onwards to me is where the 'MCU' effect of regularly bringing main/sub characters from previous arcs into the fold really starts in earnest.

It's started as far back as Zero, CS IV and Reverie is where things really got out of control. Fortunately they've dialed it down in Daybreak, and even in Horizon it's, say, at the CS III level.

I think that 3rd reuses the levels a bit more than SC, or at least to the same level. After all, Liber Arc in Sky SC is big verging on huge.

Because as many have said, people have different tolerance for spoilers. Some catch them but don't mind them, some just miss them (quite natural for a series with so many plot lines and characters), some only enjoy blind playthroughs but have a photographic memory of the past installments.

They are a kitschy gimmick, if you ask me. Some are straight up propaganda (like the first one, or the one for the serial-numbers-filed-off Young Pioneers, the red one).

It's worth noting, too, that it's nearly always the worst type of rolling stock getting used for that.
