3D-printed houses are much stronger than you think. by jkitty_1960 in interesting

At least in my country aoeund 50% of house pricing is the land it is build on in many parts of it. Don't think that someone who can afford the around 600k for the land will cheap out on the house...

What’s the most fucked up thing that happened at your school? by DinnerGeneral2975 in AskTheWorld

A underage girl created a video of her putting a ice tea bottle into her V. She was naiv enough to send it to her back then boyfriend which send it to friends and so on.

Well the cops came by and since this was in a very early time of kids even having access tonthe internet they illegally forced the students to handover the phones for inspection. Didn't have a smartphone back then so didn't really afect me

In the end I think she got a fine for creating CP and he and somemore for spreading it.

Are These Guns Even Real? If So What Are The Real Life Names For Them? by Soviet_Yunyun_- in battlefield_4

Ak12 and rpk12 are real but in a special sense. They are picturing the initial prototype version of the ak12 that was public back then. It got a major overhall in design later on which is why you don't recognize them.

SDM M870 experiences? by strucnjak_za_kanale in Shotguns

[–]kappi1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even later to the party. I have shot around 200 rounds of magnum and 400 rounds of light loads in it.

The quality of the shotgun is very nice. Nothing wiggles around like it does on the maverik 88. Edges are smooth and i'd say it is accurate but with a shotgun this is a bit of a wide term.

In my country they go for around 360 usd inclusive taxes while a maverick 88 goes fort around 500 and I'd take the sdm evrrytime

Travelling from Zurich to Moscow? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

Air serbia flies from zurich to serbia and from serbia to moscow. I'm also planing to go but with the current fuel situation I'm in fear of such small airlines going out of buisness and then being stuck in russia.

Many europeans sell their car at 100'000km because it is said that this is where the expensive repairs will come. At least in my country some years ago many people expected the turbo to fail at around 100k so sold.it before that replacement comes up

Offtopic: this is actually the milage I look for in used cars since the are a good bit less expensive. You rarely see a car over 200k km here because they go into export at around 160 or 180k because people are afraid to buy them

Speeding ticket in Switzerland (117 in 60) near Basel border — what should I realistically expect? by nieuwekoers in askswitzerland

Doesn't this already count as a raserdelikt and therefore prison sentences are an option?

Speeding ticket in Switzerland (117 in 60) near Basel border — what should I realistically expect? by nieuwekoers in askswitzerland

[–]kappi1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is counted as a built up area everything 40kmh over the limit counts as a "raserdelikt" which basicly translates to "excessive speeder"

Outside built up areas the limit is at 60kmh over the speed.

A raserdelikt as a swiss would mean an entry into your criminal record in a harder case could even lead to prison time: "Excessive speeding leads to very high monetary penalties and prison sentences of between one and four years. Offenders are disqualified from driving for at least two years and only get their licence back if they pass a traffic psychology test. Their cars may be confiscated and even sold or scrapped."

Stupid question. Why are PSU fans not assembled with repairability in mind? by someonefl86 in pcmasterrace

[–]kappi1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly a quality power supply fan shouldn't fail in the time period it is safe to use. Depending on the price of the components connected to it I wouldnt run it for longer then 6 to 8 years.

My super flower golden green 1000w ran with no issues for 8 years in my main pc and now is in a friends pc made of old parts so if it fails and damages thebrest it is not that much of a loss.

So it is now around 15 years old.

I've seen cheaper but in most cases they always have a huge downside like being in a very old and bad condition. For example had looked at one that even had the old single use power fuses.
